Sunday Weather

After a rough few days, finally the players get a break wit ha nice day with calm winds. Scoring will likely be crazy low with how wet the course still is.

PGA DFS Round One & Two Commentary

One of the chalkiest guys on the slate, and for darn good reason, Harris English has turned in two very good rounds wiht only one bogey on his card thru 36 holes. The first round leader Danny Lee, couldn’t keep pace and sits just a couple back.

Neither of those golfers are the story of the first two days, at least in my opinion, as Brendan Todd continues the incredible resurgence and is in the thick of it yet again. Matt Kuchar looks to get back into it tomorrow, sitting just 7 back heading into the weekend, he leads the higher priced golfers into the weekend, with key missed cuts from other big names.

PGA DFS Round Two Showdown Picks

Top-10 Pick

Pat Perez ($7,700)

Yet again Perez shows up on Seashore paspalum grass, turning in quite the statistical anomaly. This is where he seems to putt far and away the best. His irons will need to pick up over the lsat two days, only hitting about 60% of his greens, but he’s hitting over 60% of his fairways, which ranks him inside the top 15 for the week. If the irons kick up a notch, he could contend for the title.

PGA DFS Stud or Value Pick outside of Top-10

Ryan Armour ($7,000)

If you had a chance to listen to the pod over during the week, you heard me ask Matt Jones about the 80/80 club. 80% of their fairways and 80% of their greens. Well Ryan has accomplished that over the first two rounds, but hasn’t found his putting stroke, ranking one of the absolute worst of guys that made the cut. If the ball striking stays hot, and if he figures out his putter, could make a good run at over the weekend.

Sneaky Pick Outside of Top 10

Brandon Wu ($6,800)

Not to beat a dead drum, but, I’m not gonna quit Wu after another two solid days. He hit almost 70% of his fairways, and putted very poorly. Add on top of that only three bogeys in the first 36 holes. That’s encouraging enough for me to stay on him.
