1) Viktor Hovland (1.25x multiplier)

It seems the PGA hiatus didn’t hurt the youngster, as he’s 3-for-3 in top-25 finishes in the first three events since returning from quarantine. Hovland’s irons were hot fire last week at the Travelers, gaining more than seven strokes on approach; year to date, he’s No. 12 on Tour. The putter let him down a week ago, though, losing almost 3.5 strokes (and still finished tied for 11th) at TPC River Highlands. With such good recent form striking the ball, and Detroit calling for strong iron play, this seems like a great fit for Hovland’s game. Consistency had been one of the issues plaguing the up-and-coming star, so if he’s figured that out, it should be all systems go, especially in a watered-down field in Detroit.

2) Doc Redman (1.4x multiplier)

What a two-week run it’s been for Redman. He put together a tied-11th finish at Travelers coming off the heels of a tied-21st at RBC Heritage. Not only has he been playing great the last two weeks, but he has a little history here in Detroit, getting a runner-up finish a year ago. It comes as no surprise that Redman also had success with his irons a week ago, gaining just over five strokes on approach. He’s a top-15 ball striker on Tour this season, sitting at No. 14 in the ranks (just ahead of Hideki Matsuyama, and two spots behind Tyrell Hatton and Tommy Fleetwood). While he’s likely to be a somewhat popular option across the DFS landscape this week, it’s hard to escape the value you’re getting on his 1.4x multiplier.

3) Si Woo Kim (1.5x multiplier)

There’s generally no middle ground with Kim. He’s either flirting with the top of the leaderboard or he’s missing the cut in grand fashion. So, often times, he’s a volatile PGA DFS play. However — you had to know a however was coming — the way he played a week ago at Travelers could be the sign of life we needed to play him. He had one of the best strokes-gained numbers from tee to green last week, he just couldn’t catch a hot putter to make a push any higher than 11th. If the putter is treating him well this week, the upside for a high-end score will definitely be there. He’s proven he can win before, and that was against a field that was markedly tougher than Rocket Mortgage.
