Looking for a way to learn PGA DFS without jumping in with both feet? We have a perfect solution for you. This year, Yahoo and Yahoo Fantasy are offering a $10,000 freeroll called the PGA “Yahoo Cup.” This contest awards a winner for weekly events and one winner at the end of the season who has the most cumulative points. That winner will receive $1,000. Ultimately, winning the Yahoo Cup comes down to picking the right golfers. Today I will provide my top three value PGA DFS picks based on Yahoo salary, a couple of lineup fill-ins and two different lineup variations for building lineups this week at the Palmetto Championship.

Transparency Corner
Right or wrong, it’s important to keep track of how the picks performed the week prior. Here are the players and my corresponding lineup from The Memorial.
- Emiliano Grillo (Missed Cut)
- Aaron Wise (9th)
- Christiaan Bezuidenhout (40th)
Top Three Values for The Palmetto Championship
Lucas Glover ($30)
One of the event ambassadors, Glover has a lot going for him this week. His play has picked up significantly in these last few months, making the cut in nine of 10 starts. Over that span, he has added a couple of top-10s and three top-20s, showing upside and consistency. On top of that, he is at a salary less than the average golfer, allowing flexibility within the lineup.
Keith Mitchell ($24)
Mitchell has also improved his play over the last month. He really struggled after the opening tournament of the year, the Sony Open and missed every cut for almost two months. But then, at The Honda Classic back in March, the play flipped. He has made five of six cuts, only missing the weekend at the Charles Schwab Challenge, and now the wide-open fairways at Congaree should play right into Mitchell’s strong suit.
Hank Lebioda ($20)
Lebioda is a name that many may not be all that familiar with. However, he has found his game over the last two starts, finishing inside the top 20 in two of his last three starts while making all three cuts. While the courses where he came in the top 10 require more precision off the tee, his iron game has been his strong suit. If that stays in form this week, his minimum salary will feel like a huge steal come Sunday.

- Dustin Johnson ($52)
- Ian Poulter ($38)
- Kevin Kisner ($36)
PGA DFS Yahoo Cup Lineup Builds
Aggressive Build
Using another minimum-salary golf instead of starting with Glover allows for a three-man stud stack. If going this route, the choice would be John Pak, who will be making his pro debut this week.
Conservative Build
Given the strength of the field his week, it’s better to build a more balanced line with five quality plays rather than trying to stack three minimum-salary golfers. While a few would be worth rostering, this build still allows for at least one stud in the lineup — if not two — while staying conservative.
