Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Ronald Jones II
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers elevated wide receiver Breshad Perriman to the active roster from the practice squad on Monday and also activated cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting (elbow) from Injured Reserve. Receiver Scotty Miller (toe) didn't come off IR to play this week, so Perriman will serve as receiver depth with Antonio Brown (ankle) missing another game. Perriman will be behind Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Tyler Johnson and rookie Jaelon Darden, so he's unlikely to play many snaps, if any, on Monday night against the New York Giants. Murphy-Bunting missed the last eight games with a dislocated elbow, but Tampa's injured secondary will welcome him back with open arms, and he should play a big role immediately.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Breshad Perriman and tight end Darren Fells have been promoted to the active roster ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Football Team. Perriman was recently signed to the team's practice squad, but with Antonio Brown (ankle) remaining out against Washington, he is expected to serve as an insurance policy, although Chris Godwin (foot), who is expected to play, and Mike Evans will naturally remain the preferred options for Tom Brady. In addition, Rob Gronkowski (back) also won't suit up, so Fells will slide in behind O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate. Nonetheless, both Perriman and Fells likely won't see much action and should only be utilized by the fantasy managers who are desperate to fill a void on their roster.
Veteran wide receiver Breshad Perriman and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are closing in on a deal that would add the speedy wideout to the team's practice squad, per Adam Schefter of ESPN and Greg Auman of The Athletic. Perriman, 28, would be added insurance in the case that Antonio Brown (ankle) is unable to suit up for Sunday's contest against Washington. While Perriman has not yet appeared in a game during 2021, he started 12 contests last year with the Jets, hauling in 30 catches for 505 yards and three receiving touchdowns. The former first-round pick spent '19 with Tampa Bay and appeared in 14 games, setting career highs in all major receiving categories: receptions (36), yards (645), and touchdowns (six).
The Chicago Bears released wide receiver Breshad Perriman on Sunday, according to a source. Perriman never was active for a game with the Bears this year despite being healthy. It's not a good sign for Perriman finding work elsewhere, as the Bears receiving corps is one of the worst in the league behind Allen Robinson II with options like Darnell Mooney, Marquise Goodwin, Damiere Byrd and Jakeem Grant. The 28-year-old had a career year in 2019 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when he caught 36 passes for 645 yards and six touchdowns, but outside of that one season, Perriman has done very little in his five NFL seasons.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Breshad Perriman is a healthy inactive for the second straight week in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Darnell Mooney and Marquise Goodwin were listed as questionable on the final injury report, but they are both active and will play against the Bengals. As such, Perriman remains buried on the depth chart behind Allen Robinson II, Mooney, Goodwin and Damiere Byrd. Along with Perriman, Nsimba Webster (hamstring) was also ruled out, but he practiced in full on Friday. Perriman has had one good season in the NFL in 2019 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he hasn't done much outside of that. He should remain on waiver wires in the majority of fantasy leagues.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Breshad Perriman will be a healthy inactive for the Sunday night game against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. Perriman is clearly buried on the team's receiver depth chart after being claimed off waivers before the season. Allen Robinson II and Darnell Mooney will be the top two receivers, but they're facing an excellent secondary and defense overall in the Rams. Marquise Goodwin, Damiere Byrd and Nsimba Webster will fight for targets behind Robinson and Mooney, but there might not be much to go around. Perriman, 28, is big and physical, but aside from a solid season in Tampa in 2019, he hasn't done much in five NFL seasons. Perriman is obviously off the fantasy radar for the time being.
The Chicago Bears have signed wide receiver Breshad Perriman to a one-year deal after he was released by the Detroit Lions on Tuesday. The 27-year-old finished with 30 receptions for 505 yards and three touchdowns with the New York Jets last season, which led many to believe he would be the WR1 in a very thin receiving core in Detroit this season. He now heads into a receiver room headlined by Allen Robinson II, Darnell Mooney, Rodney Adams, Marquise Goodwin, and Damiere Byrd. Robinson and Mooney figure to get the majority of the targets, but if either of them misses any time, Perriman could see an uptick in volume. Given his current situation, he will be off the fantasy radar to begin the season.
The Detroit Lions released wide receiver Breshad Perriman on Monday. He signed a one-year deal with Detroit during the offseason and was expected to have a vital role in the Lions' passing attack. The 27-year-old was limited in camp with a hip injury and failed to make an impact during the preseason. Perriman caught 30 passes for 505 yards and three touchdowns over 12 games for the New York Jets in 2021. He will look to latch onto another team. The Lions are thin at wide receiver with Tyrell Williams, Amon-Ra. St. Brown, and Quintez Cephus as the team's top four wideouts.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Breshad Perriman caught one pass for six yards in the team's final tuneup game before Week 1. Perriman was targeted three times and the output doesn't amount to much but the coaching staff must be happy to see him on the field. The offseason acquisition has been in-and-out of practice with a hip injury and the Lions will need him healthy in an offense thin at wide receiver. Perriman will be a WR6/7 dart-throw, at best, in upcoming drafts.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Breshad Perriman could surprisingly be on the bubble heading into the team's final preseason game. Perriman has battled a hip injury throughout training camp and has shown little on the practice field and in the preseason. The Lions signed Perriman in the offseason and would have to eat $2 million in cap space if they cut him. But head coach Dan Campbell intimated that they are looking for players that they can trust right now and Perriman, to this point, has been untrustworthy with his availability.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Breshad Perriman did not register a catch in the team's second preseason game against the Steelers. The veteran was targeted twice but failed to haul in either of the attempts. This performance may seem insignificant but Perriman has been in and out of practice with different injuries. The Lions are counting on him to produce with teammate Tyrell Williams and seeing Perriman suiting up and playing some snaps is a step in the right direction.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Breshad Perriman still has not participated in a full practice as the team prepares for its second preseason game against the Steelers. Perriman has been banged up throughout camp and missing all this time has hampered his ability to build a chemistry with new quarterback Jared Goff. The Lions have completely revamped their wide receivers room, signing veterans like Perriman, Tyrell Williams and drafting Amon-Ra St. Brown. But Perriman falling behind could severely hurt his fantasy value with the regular season only weeks away.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Breshad Perriman was on the receiving end of quarterback Jared Goff's sudden aggressiveness in team drills on Friday. Goff has spent most of camp hesitant when it comes to taking shots down the field but that narrative shifted on Friday. The newly acquired passer was slinging it around the field and Perriman was able to come down with some nice high-point catches down the field. Perriman was shaken up after one of the downfield receptions but appeared to finish the rest of practice.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Breshad Perriman is hoping to gain more chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff after the first few days of camp. Perriman was able to haul in one of the only deep-ball attempts by Goff in a recent practice but the receiver has been quiet, thus far, in camp. The Lions are banking on teammate Tyrell Williams to be the number-one receiver on the team but Perriman is being counted as well to heavily contribute. Perriman should see plenty of action when preseason games begin.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Breshad Perriman will head into training camp hoping to make an immediate impact on his new team. It has been a mercurial NFL career thus far for the 27-year-old, going from first-round phenom-to-bust with the Ravens, to flashing his potential with Tampa Bay. Perriman was signed by the Jets last season to become a stabilizing force in their offense but it did not go according to plan. Perriman was limited to 12 games and caught only 30 passes for 505 yards and three touchdowns. Now the journeyman finds himself on his fifth team in five years and yet on a Lions team thirsting for wide receiver production. Perriman lacks fantasy value at this time but that could change if he acclimates quickly to the Lions offense and finds a chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff.
Former New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Detroit Lions on Thursday, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Perriman will now play for the same team that his father Brett starred for. The 27-year-old was expected to be one of New York's top receivers in 2020, but that didn't happen. Perriman played in just 12 games due to injury and disappointed with 30 receptions on 60 targets for 505 yards and three touchdowns a year after posting career-highs in catches (36), receiving yards (645) and touchdowns (six) in his final season in Tampa Bay in 2019. There will be bounce-back potential in Detroit, though, with both Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. expected to leave in free agency. Perriman could be a solid value pick in the later rounds of fantasy drafts, depending on who else the Lions bring in at the position.
New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman has been held in check over the last month or so. He has hauled in five receptions for 69 yards over the last four games. Last week, Perriman failed to catch any of his six targets, so his fantasy value is on the downward trend. It won't get any easier against the top tier New England Patriots Defense in Week 17. It's best to avoid using Perriman since he hasn't shown much promise lately.
New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman was horrendous during the Week 16 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. He was targeted six times and failed to catch any of them. Yes, Perriman finished with zero receiving yards and his only value came from a one carry for six yards. He'll be a desperation flex option against the tough New England Patriots Defense in Week 17.
New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman has five total receptions over his last three games. It has been a rough couple of weeks for Perriman, but maybe he can bounce back in Week 16. He'll get a matchup against the Cleveland Browns who have struggled to contain opposing wide receivers this season. However, it's tough to count on Perriman to actually provide fantasy value right now. He might be able to hold WR4 value this week.
New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman was basically invisible on the field versus the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15. He hauled in his lone target for 21 yards in the win. He continues to show basically no chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold. Perriman looked much better on the field when veteran Joe Flacco was under center. That being said, it's unlikely that Perriman has much value at all against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16.
New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman has been basically only useful in PPR formats all season long. The Jets do frequently throw the ball his way, but he often times fails to capitalize on his opportunities. Jamison Crowder (hamstring) is listed as questionable heading into this contest. Perriman might gain a little value, assuming Crowder sits out. However, it's hard to imagine Perriman having much value against the Los Angeles Rams Defense. It's best to bench Perriman for this Week 15 matchup.
New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman was expected to be a viable fantasy option for the Week 14 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Jamison Crowder (calf) was banged up and the Seahawks secondary hasn't been able to stop anyone this season. Sadly, Perriman was unable to do much damage in the blowout loss. He hauled in three of his six targets for 26 yards. To be fair, quarterback Sam Darnold threw plenty of uncatchable balls, so it's tough to pin all the blame on Perriman. It's difficult to imagine Perriman being more than a desperation flex option against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15.
New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman could be an interesting streaming option against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 14. The Jets are already going to have limited weapons with Denzel Mims (personal) out and Jamison Crowder (calf) currently listed as questionable. Perriman could end up being the main target against a secondary that has allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Perriman appears to be a safe bet for PPR leagues this week.
New York Jets wide receivers Jamison Crowder (calf) and Breshad Perriman (shoulder) were both limited during Thursday's practice, making their status for Sunday's game against Seattle a bit up in the air. The duo are likely to be in line for increased roles should they suit up due to the absence of Denzel Mims (personal), while also having the advantage of facing a Seahawks secondary that has allowed a league-high 309.8 passing yards per game in 2020. Crowder logged his first multi-touchdown game of the year last week versus Las Vegas, while Perriman is coming off a one-reception performance. Of the two, Crowder holds much more season-long and DFS appeal due to his rapport with quarterbackSam Darnold, although the absence of either would make the other a much more attractive flex in most season-long formats. Check back ahead of Sunday as updates on their statuses become available.
New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman was held in check by the Las Vegas Raiders secondary in Week 13. Perriman was performing quite well over the last few games heading into this contest. However, he was only able to haul in one of his four targets for 22 yards in the loss. Perriman is a risky fantasy option right now. He could possibly be a low-end flex play versus the Seattle Seahawks next week.

Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
