Chris Godwin Erupts For 15 Catches In Week 13 Win

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin reeled in 15-of-17 targets for 143 yards and rushed once for nine yards in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons. He led the team with 17 targets in the Week 13 win and recorded his fourth 100-yard campaign of the season. The 25-year-old had three receptions gaining 15 or more yards. Godwin should continue to see a heavy volume of targets with wide receiver Antonio Brown serving a three-game suspension. He has had a terrific season, catching 82 passes for 949 yards and five touchdowns over 12 games in 2021. Godwin is a must-start against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.

Chris Godwin - Week 13 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is coming off a modest performance in the Week 12 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He caught four of five targets for 24 yards and lost a fumble in last Sunday's win. The 25-year-old will look to bounce back in week 13 against a Falcons defense that ranks 30th in DVOA against WR2s. Godwin has been excellent this season, hauling in 67 catches for 805 yards and five touchdowns over 11 games in 2021. The Penn State product is a low-end WR1 in a plus matchup against a Falcons defense that surrenders the 10th most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

Chris Godwin - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has caught 29 catches for 373 and three touchdowns over four games with WR Antonio Brown (ankle) sidelined. He will look to continue his impressive run against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. The Colts have given up the fourth-most points to opposing wideouts but rank fifth in DVOA against WR2s. Godwin owns 20% of the team's target share and an impressive 6.8 YAC per reception, ranked eighth among all wideouts. In a projected high-scoring affair (51.5 over/under), Godwin is a borderline WR1 against the Colts in Week 12.

Nov 26th · 09:31 PM
Mike Evans, Chris Godwin Good To Go

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans (back) and Chris Godwin (foot) were both taken off the final injury report for Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts. Evans' status for Sunday's game was in question after he missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, but he returned to a full practice on Friday and is good to go against the Colts. Antonio Brown (ankle) remains out of action, so Evans and Godwin should continue to be targeted heavily in Tampa's pass-happy offense. Through 11 weeks of the 2021 season, Evans is the WR6 in fantasy with 679 receiving yards and a league-high 10 touchdowns, while Godwin is the WR10 with 782 receiving yards and five scores. They will both be must-starts this weekend.

Chris Godwin Still Listed With Foot Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) continues to be limited in practice with his foot injury. Godwin didn't look limited all on Monday night, though, on his way to catching all six of his targets for 65 yards and a touchdown. He has scored in three of the last four games and remains a must-start WR1 in Tampa's pass-happy offense, especially with Antonio Brown (ankle) trending in the wrong direction to return in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts. Entering Week 12 action, Godwin checks in as the No. 9 fantasy receiver with 63 catches on 84 targets for 782 yards and five touchdowns. He's also scored a touchdown on the ground. Start him with confidence again this week.

Chris Godwin Removed Off Injury Report for Week 11

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) doesn't carry an injury designation for Monday's game against the New York Giants. He was limited in practice this week but is all systems go for Week 11. The 25-year-old should see an uptick in targets as wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) was ruled out for a fourth consecutive game. Godwin has hauled in 28 receptions for 351 yards and two touchdowns over the four games Brown has been out. The Penn State product is a low-end WR1 against a Giants defense ranked 15th in DVOA against WR2s.

Nov 20th · 01:14 AM
Chris Godwin Limited In Practice This Week

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) practiced on a limited basis for the second straight day on Friday. Godwin was questionable going into last week with his foot injury, but he ultimately played and close to 100% of the offensive snaps while catching seven of his eight targets for 57 yards in the loss to the Washington Football Team. Barring a setback, the 25-year-old pass-catcher will be just fine for Monday night's game against the New York Giants, where he'll be a must-start, low-end WR1 for fantasy managers. Godwin is a must-start normally in Tampa's pass-heavy offense, but even more so with Antonio Brown (ankle) likely to miss his fourth straight game.

Chris Godwin Catches Seven Passes In Loss

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin caught seven passes for 57 yards in the team's 29-19 loss to the Washington Football Team in Week 10. Godwin saw eight targets in the game and came into this contest riding a hot streak that now has been cooled. Over his last five games, Godwin has 35 receptions on 47 targets for 421 yards with two touchdowns. The talented receiver was questionable coming into this game with a foot injury and as long as he did not aggravate the ailment, Godwin will be a WR1/2 selection in Week 11 against the Giants.

Nov 14th · 05:46 PM
Chris Godwin Will Suit Up Against Washington

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) isn't listed on the team's official injury report, meaning he will play on Sunday against Washington. The 25-year-old missed several practices earlier this week, but he returned to practice on Friday and didn't appear in any real danger of missing this one. With Antonio Brown (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (back) out, Godwin should get plenty of consideration in both season-long and DFS formats for Week 10. He's a must-start, even with the risk of re-injury during Sunday's game.

Nov 14th · 01:37 AM
Chris Godwin Expected To Play In Week 10

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team. He was limited in practice this week due to a foot injury, but all systems go for Week 10. The Buccaneers will be without wide receivers Antonio Brown (ankle), Scotty Miller (toe), and tight end Rob Gronkowski (back). With Brown sidelined, Godwin has been productive recently, hauling in 16 catches for 251 yards and two touchdowns over two games. Washington is ranked 27th in pass DVOA and 32nd in DVOA against opponent's WR2s. Fantasy managers should check back Sunday morning on Godwin's status, but if active, the Penn State product is a surefire WR1 in Week 10.

Nov 12th · 04:58 PM
Chris Godwin Heading Towards Game-Time Call

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) was spotted at the team's practice Friday. Godwin had a helmet on and was able to run in place while testing his injured foot, with beat writer Greg Auman noting that the star wideout is likely to go down as a limited participant at Friday's session. That keeps the door open for the possibility of him playing against Washington, though his status remains murky after he didn't take the practice field on Wednesday or Thursday. Godwin could see more targets than usual if active with Antonio Brown (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (back) likely to miss the game. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to the actives/inactives this Sunday ahead of the game against Washington.

Nov 11th · 04:32 PM
Chris Godwin Missing Again Thursday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) was not seen on Thursday during the portion of practice open to the media. Godwin missed practice on Wednesday as well, so it looks like his new foot injury is serious enough to potentially keep him from playing in Week 10 against the Washington Football Team. And with Antonio Brown (ankle) and tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) still hurting as well, Tampa could be hurting for pass-catchers for quarterback Tom Brady this weekend. Godwin will need to return to practice on Friday to have a chance at playing. Fantasy managers need to plan for a potential absence from Godwin on Sunday. If both he and Brown are out, Tyler Johnson and rookie Jaelon Darden would see more playing time behind No. 1 wideout Mike Evans.

Nov 10th · 06:36 PM
Chris Godwin Dealing With Foot Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) is dealing with a foot injury and his status for Week 10 against the Washington Football Team is uncertain, according to head coach Bruce Arians. With Antonio Brown (ankle) not looking likely to return this Sunday either, the Bucs could be severely short-handed this weekend, especially if starting tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) can't make it back. Godwin is a must-start fantasy asset anytime he's active, especially with Brown missing extended time with his ankle sprain. If Godwin can't go in Week 10, Tyler Johnson and rookie Jaelon Darden would complete three-receiver sets alongside Mike Evans.

Nov 1st · 01:05 AM
Chris Godwin Records Season-High 140 Yards, Touchdown

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin caught eight of 12 targets for 140 yards and a touchdown in a loss to New Orleans. With fellow receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) sidelined again and Mike Evans blanketed by the coverage of Marshon Lattimore, Godwin went to work, setting a new season-high in receiving yards while recording eight receptions for the second straight contest. The star wideout connected with quarterback Tom Brady in the red zone on a route over the middle of the field, sneaking into the end zone for his fourth score of the year. Godwin is heading into the Week 9 bye on fire, having eclipsed the century mark in receiving yards in each of his last two games played.

Oct 29th · 11:25 PM
Chris Godwin - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin should be in line to see heavy volume against the Saints in Week 8. Godwin has seen double-digit targets in two of his last three games, including last week against the Bears, where he delivered an 8-111-1 line in the blowout win. Antonio Brown (ankle) will miss another game- meaning that Godwin should see a healthy share of targets once again. He looks like an elite WR1/2 play against the Saints.

Oct 24th · 11:44 PM
Chris Godwin Racks Up Season-High 111 Yards

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin compiled eight receptions for a season-high 111 yards and one touchdown on 11 targets in Sunday's win over the Bears. Godwin showed out and put up his best total of the season while pacing the team in yards. The 25-year-old has been a solid contributor for Tampa this season, getting at least 60 yards in five of seven contests. With a stable target share, the Penn State product will loom around the WR1 tier going forward.

Oct 23rd · 01:23 PM
Chris Godwin - Week 7 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is a low-end WR1 option against the Bears in Week 7. Godwin has had a decent season thus far, posting at least 55 yards in five of six contests before posting a season-low 43 yards last week. Nevertheless, the WR has generally been consistent and his role has been stable as well. This week, Antonio Brown (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (ribs) have been ruled out, meaning Godwin and Mike Evans should see the most targets. As a result, the 25-year-old is a great start against a Bears team that is average against fantasy wideouts.

Oct 15th · 03:06 PM
Chris Godwin Held Under 50 Yards For First Time This Year

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin caught five passes for 43 yards in a 28-22 win over the Eagles. Godwin got off to a fast start, hauling in three of his receptions on the team's first two drives, though he took a backseat to Antonio Brown the rest of the way. The star wideout had exceeded the 50-yard mark in each of the five games played coming into Thursday's contest, so fantasy managers shouldn't react too strongly to his subpar performance. Godwin should be trusted in lineups next week, even in a tough matchup against the Bears.

Oct 13th · 07:21 PM
Chris Godwin Gets In Full Practice Wednesday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (ankle, knee) practiced fully on Wednesday and will be good to go for Thursday's game against the Eagles. Godwin was never in doubt to miss the game, but it was still a good sign to see him ramp-up to full participation after being limited Monday and Tuesday. He has been a steady producer, tallying at least six receptions in three games while exceeding 50 yards in each contest this season. Even in a bit of a tough matchup against the Eagles, Godwin deserves WR2 consideration.

Oct 13th · 12:31 PM
Chris Godwin Limited In Tuesday's Practice

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee, ankle) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice. He was added to the injury report Monday with ankle and knee injuries. The 25-year-old isn't in danger of missing Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles but is expected to be listed as questionable for Week 6. Godwin has been solid for fantasy managers in 2021, hauling in 29-of-41 targets for 366 yards and two touchdowns over five games. The Buccaneers wide receiver averages 9.2 air yards per target and owns 19% of the team's target share. Godwin will look to be a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Stay tuned for more updates.

Oct 11th · 09:42 PM
Chris Godwin Pops Up On Injury Report

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee, ankle) was a surprise addition to Monday's injury report. Godwin- listed as a limited participant in Monday's estimated practice report- apparently picked up ankle and knee injuries during Sunday's blowout win over the Dolphins. The star receiver continued his usual level of steady production, totaling seven receptions for 70 yards, exceeding the 50-yard mark for the fifth time this season. Godwin's practice status will be worth monitoring as Thursday's showdown with the Eagles nears, though there's nothing to indicate that he won't be out there.

Oct 10th · 08:59 PM
Chris Godwin Sees Team-High 11 Targets

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin posted seven receptions for 70 yards on 11 targets in Sunday's victory over the Dolphins. Godwin hasn't posted the most explosive numbers in 2021, but he has been consistent, getting at least 62 yards in four of five games including one game with over 100 yards. The 25-year-old has also seen at least seven targets in three of five games. The WR has a big enough role to merit him a starting role on your fantasy team weekly going forward.

Oct 9th · 04:06 PM
Chris Godwin - Week 5 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is a low-end WR1 play against the Dolphins. Godwin's production has dipped off since posting over 100 yards in Week 1, but it's been consistent nonetheless. The WR has seen at least five targets in the last three games while posting at least 62 yards in two of the past three games. As a top pass-catcher on the team, Godwin's opportunities will stay generally high each week. Miami is average against fantasy wideouts, so the Penn State product has a chance to put up good numbers in Week 5.

Oct 4th · 04:59 AM
Chris Godwin Posts 55 Receiving Yards In Victory

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin tallied three receptions for 55 receiving yards in a 19-17 win over the Patriots. Godwin was uncharacteristically quiet to start the game, as he didn't catch his first pass until the second quarter with five minutes and 45 seconds on the clock. Still, he managed to exceed 50 receiving yards for the fourth consecutive game, all while seeing at least five targets in each contest. Godwin seems to be the least volatile of all the Buccaneers wideouts- and is a solid, every-week WR2 with Tom Brady frequently looking his way.

Sep 30th · 06:12 PM
Chris Godwin A High-Floor Option In Week 4

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has been a steady pass-catcher for Tom Brady heading into a Week 4 matchup with New England. Godwin ranks first on the team in catches, 19, tied for first in targets, 25, and ranks second with 205 receiving yards. The star wideout has been a steady producer, exceeding 62 receiving yards in each of the three games he's played this year. The Patriots have limited opposing receivers well this year, though they haven't faced a receiver corps that's anything like the one Tampa Bay possesses. Godwin should have a safe WR2 floor, even if the game turns into a blowout.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
