Chris Conley Inactive, Chris Moore Active In Week 18

Houston Texans wide receiver Chris Conley (knee) and tight end Jordan Akins (illness) are inactive for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile, receiver Chris Moore (illness) is active. Conley will finish the year with just 22 catches for 323 yards and two touchdowns on 37 targets in 16 games played in his first year in Houston. Moore and Danny Amendola could see bigger roles on Sunday with Conley sidelined, but fantasy managers shouldn't trust any Texans receiver not named Brandin Cooks, who is the target hog of this passing attack. Rookie Nico Collins has the most upside beyond Cooks, but he's strictly been a dynasty/keeper stash in Houston's low-scoring offense.

Chris Conley, Chris Moore Questionable

Houston Texans wide receivers Chris Conley (knee) and Chris Moore (illness) are both listed as questionable for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Tennessee Titans. Tight end Jordan Akins (illness) is also questionable. Conley missed the entire week of practice, so he appears to be in the most danger of sitting out on Sunday. Brandin Cooks and rookie Nico Collins should be the top two receivers this weekend regardless, but Danny Amendola could have a bigger role if one or both of Conley and Moore are unable to play. Cooks has been the team's unquestioned No. 1 receiver and target hog in the Texans low-scoring offense this year, and he's the only fantasy wideout that can be trusted on this team.

Chris Conley, Chris Moore Missing From Practice

Houston Texans wide receivers Chris Conley (knee) and Chris Moore (illness) and tight end Jordan Akins (illness) all missed practice on Thursday. Conley has missed both days of practice this week, while Moore and Akins were added to the Week 18 injury report on Thursday. All three players might have to practice on Friday in order to play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Tennessee Titans. None of the trio are worth coming anywhere near a fantasy starting lineup in one of the lowest scoring offenses in the NFL, but if both Conley and Moore do not play, Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins could both be in for heavy workloads as Houston attempts to bump the Titans from the No. 1 spot in the AFC.

Oct 17th · 09:34 PM
Chris Moore Held Under 20 Receiving Yards In Loss

Houston Texans wide receiver Chris Moore disappointed after his breakout performance last week. Moore was held to just 14 receiving yards on four receptions in a blowout loss to the Colts. The 28-year-old operated as the fourth option in the passing game with Nico Collins back in the picture, certainly not a good sign for Moore's value when Danny Amendola (thigh) eventually returns. Moore's 109-yard effort against the Patriots was a good story, but there likely won't be too many performances like that down the road, at least not until Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) returns.

Oct 14th · 10:54 PM
Chris Moore - Week 6 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Houston Texans wide receiver Chris Moore burst onto the scene with 109 yards and a touchdown last week against the Patriots. However, Moore's breakout had more to do with injuries to the Texans receivers than anything else. Houston will likely have Nico Collins (shoulder) and Danny Amendola (thigh) back in the fold for Week 6, sapping Moore of his fantasy value. The 28-year-old could still surprise in a favorable Week 6 matchup, but it's best to avoid the risk and start someone else.

Oct 13th · 12:42 AM
Chris Moore Signed To Active Roster

The Houston Texans signed wide receiver Chris Moore to their active 53-man roster on Tuesday after he broke out for five catches, 109 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 loss to the New England Patriots. Moore did most of his work on a 67-yard touchdown pass from rookie quarterback Davis Mills. The former fourth-rounder in 2016 never had more than three catches in a game in his career before Sunday, though, and his previous career-high in yardage was 48 back in 2017. The 28-year-old made a big impression in just his second game with Houston, but his playing time could decrease once Danny Amendola (thigh) makes his return in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Oct 10th · 08:51 PM
Chris Moore Breaks Out For 109 Yards, Touchdown

Houston Texans wide receiver Chris Moore played perhaps the best game of his career in a victory over the Patriots Sunday. On the practice squad heading into the week, Moore was made active with Danny Amendola (hamstring) still banged up and Anthony Miller no longer on the team. The 28-year-old made the most of his opportunity, scoring on a long 67-yard touchdown while accumulating a career-high 109 yards, besting his previous mark of 48 yards. Moore's career-high in receiving yards for a season is 248, which should make fantasy managers very skeptical of his value moving forward. Still, with bye weeks coming up for many fantasy managers, Moore could be on the streaming radar against a Colts defense that ranks 26th in pass DVOA.

Dec 21st · 10:49 PM
Chris Moore Activated From Injured Reserve

The Baltimore Ravens activated wide receiver Chris Moore (finger) from Injured Reserve on Monday. In other moves, safety Geno Stone was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list, while cornerback Davontae Harris (thigh) was placed on IR. Moore was designated to return from IR on Dec. 4. He's been limited by finger and thigh injuries this year and has played in just one game back in Week 8. Moore is known more for his special teams contributions and played 35 special teams snaps in the Week 8 loss to the Steelers. The 27-year-old doesn't have a single target this year and can continue being ignored for fantasy purposes as we head into championship week for most leagues.

Nov 7th · 03:00 AM
Mark Ingram II, Chris Moore Doubtful Against Colts

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram II (ankle) and wide receiver Chris Moore (thigh) are listed as doubtful for Week 9 against the Colts. Ingram had the Week 7 bye to heal up, but he's still likely to miss his second straight game. Rookie J.K. Dobbins will likely see his role expand in the second half of the season regardless, giving him the most upside moving forward in this backfield. Gus Edwards will also share touches once again after he found the end zone in Week 8. Dobbins will have RB2 upside, while Edwards isn't a terrible RB3/flex despite a tough matchup with Indy. Moore hasn't caught a pass all year in just one game of action. He's well off the fantasy radar.

Sep 12th · 02:11 AM
Justice Hill, Chris Moore Won't Play In Week 1

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (thigh) and wide receiver Chris Moore (finger) have both been ruled out for Week 1 against the Browns. After a quiet rookie season in 2019, Hill doesn't have much of a path for a sophomore improvement in a backfield that also includes Mark Ingram II, Gus Edwards and promising rookie J.K. Dobbins. Hill's absence in Week 1 gives Dobbins some more helium as an RB3/flex against a beatable Browns Defense. Ingram, although not a sexy fantasy commodity, will be an RB2 as long as he remains the lead back in this high-powered offense. Moore is merely the No. 4 receiver behind Marquise Brown, Willie Snead and Miles Boykin.

Sep 10th · 01:51 AM
Justice Hill, Chris Moore Miss Practice

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (thigh) and wide receiver Chris Moore (finger) did not practice on Wednesday. Hill saw just 55 carries in his rookie season and is behind Mark Ingram II and Gus Edwards on the depth chart, so he's firmly off the radar for starting lineups in Week 1 against the Browns. If Hill is inactive, it could mean a bigger role for rookie J.K. Dobbins in his NFL debut. Moore is just wide receiver depth in Baltimore behind Marquise Brown, Willie Snead and Miles Boykin, so he doesn't have any fantasy appeal to begin the 2020 season. Rookies Devin Duvernay and James Proche II have more fantasy upside in their first season.

Aug 17th · 05:21 PM
Chris Moore To Miss Time With Broken Finger

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore (finger) will miss some time in camp with a broken finger, according to head coach John Harbaugh. It's unclear how much time Moore will miss, so stay tuned for more details on the situation. Moore caught just three passes for 21 yards in 14 games played last season for the team's high-octane offense, making him one to ignore in fantasy, especially now that he could be getting a late start to the season. Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin and Willie Snead should once again be Baltimore's top three wideouts in 2020.

Mar 25th · 04:55 AM
Ravens Bring Back Chris Moore

The Baltimore Ravens re-signed wide receiver Chris Moore to an undisclosed one-year deal on Tuesday. Moore caught a career-low three passes for 21 yards in his fourth season with Baltimore, but his exploits on special teams bought him another chance with the organization. He was a fourth-round selection in 2016 and has caught 47 passes for 511 yards and four touchdowns in his four years in the NFL. It was disappointing that he didn't do more on offense last year given the team's lack of receiver depth, but he'll again provide depth in 2020. He'll battle for playing time behind Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin and Willie Snead, but he shouldn't have any fantasy appeal in standard-sized leagues to begin the year.

Aug 9th · 03:44 AM
Chris Moore Has 48 Yards Against Jaguars

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore caught a 30-yard pass from quarterback Lamar Jackson on the Ravens' first drive of Thursday's preseason win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He followed that up with an 18-yard reception from Jackson two drives later. Moore's 48 yards led the Ravens in this game, and his rapport with Jackson in this one is encouraging. Someone's got to lead this team in receiving yards this year and be a fantasy flex option, and Moore looks like he could be that guy.

Jun 11th · 03:58 AM
Chris Moore Ready For Bigger Role

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh believes that wide receiver Chris Moore is ready for a much bigger role in the offense in 2019. He was the team's No. 4 receiver in terms of offensive snaps last year and has played a supporting role with the team in his first three seasons while being buried on the depth chart. Owner Steve Bisciotti "wouldn't be surprised to see Chris Moore being a breakout candidate." Moore had 19 catches for 196 yards and one touchdowns last year and 18 catches for 248 yards and three scores in 2017. Willie Snead and Moore should be the team's top two receivers in 2019 alongside rookies Marquise Brown and Myles Boykin. Don't be surprised if Moore becomes fantasy relevant this year, but his upside will be limited in a run-first offense with a second-round QB with accuracy issues.

May 30th · 12:37 AM
Ravens Owner Thinks A Lot Of Chris Moore

Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti thinks that wide receiver Chris Moore could be a "breakout candidate." At best, Moore would be the team's No. 2 wideout behind Willie Snead, but rookie Miles Boykin will have a say in that as well. The 25-year-old Moore hasn't had more than 19 catches, 248 yards or three scores in his three years with Baltimore, but he'll have more opportunity than ever before in 2019. On a run-first squad with a quarterback that has accuracy issues, it'll be an uphill battle for Moore to carve out a role on rosters in standard-sized fantasy leagues.

Jan 3rd · 12:05 AM
Chris Moore Returns To Practice On Wednesday

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore (shoulder) left Sunday's win over the Browns late in the fourth quarter, but he was back at practice as a full participant on Wednesday. Coach John Harbaugh said that the third-year pro suffered a bruise in the game. Moore is the team's fourth receiver and is not involved much on offense, although the Ravens have used him many ways. The 25-year-old caught 19 of 25 targets on the year, which includes two receptions versus the Browns, for 196 yards and one touchdown. He also had five carries for 17 yards. However, it is as a kick returner where the former fourth-round draft pick makes an impact. Moore ranked 11th in the NFL with 22.3 yards per return and a long of 39.

Dec 17th · 09:11 AM
Chris Moore Reaches End Zone For First Time This Season

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore hauled in his lone target for a five-yard touchdown in Sunday's (20-12) victory over the Buccaneers. He also garnered one carry for minus-five rushing yards. A week after not seeing a pass in his direction, snapping a nine-game streak of catching at least one pass, the 25-year-old hooked up with Lamar Jackson for his first touchdown of the campaign late in the second quarter. Moore is still not worth a look in fantasy football unless your league takes into account kick return yards where he ranks 10th in the league at 22.9 yards per return, as he averages less than two targets a game.

Dec 10th · 04:14 PM
Chris Moore's Reception Streak Ends

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore failed to reel in either of his two targets in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs. Moore entered the game having caught a pass in nine straight games, accumulating 12 receptions during this stretch. The 25-year-old, who is the team's fourth wideout, is much more valuable on special teams than as a pass-catcher.

Dec 3rd · 02:43 AM
Chris Moore Hauls In 21-Yard Pass From Punter Sam Koch

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore caught his lone target for 21 yards in Sunday's victory over the Falcons. With the Ravens leading 7-3 early in the second quarter and the ball at the Falcons 46-yard line on fourth down-and-seven yards to go, punter Sam Koch perfectly executed a fake punt and hooked up with Moore for a 21-yard pass play over the middle. The play tied Lamar Jackson's completion to Mark Andrews for the Ravens' longest of the day. The reception extends Moore's streak of at least one catch to nine straight games. However, he still does not have any fantasy value.

Nov 26th · 12:04 PM
Chris Moore Extends Reception Streak

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore had one reception for a single yard in Sunday's 34-17 victory over the Raiders. The 25-year-old, who has 14 catches on the season, has now caught a pass in eight straight games. He is still not relevant in fantasy football.

Nov 18th · 11:15 PM
Chris Moore Records A Catch In Seventh Straight Game

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver/ return specialist Chris Moore tallied 89 total yards, including 22 yards from scrimmage in the Week 11 win over the Bengals. The 25-year-old caught his lone target for 14 yards, giving him a reception in each of his last seven games. He also had one rushing attempt for eight yards while 67 of his yards came on four kick returns. Moore has no fantasy value unless you are in a league that takes special teams into consideration.

Dec 11th · 05:41 AM
Chris Moore With A Touchdown In Week 14

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore caught three passes for 48 yards against Pittsburgh in the Week 14 loss. One of them was a 30-yard touchdown. In terms of fantasy, Moorehasn't done much this season, so the touchdown is more likely not a sign of things to come. You can leave Moore on the waiver wire in all formats.

Sep 1st · 05:22 AM
Chris Moore Is Surprisingly On The Bubble

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore seemed like a lock a month ago but has struggled. Now it is in doubt. The speculation is that the Ravens will probably keep five receivers. Mike Wallace, Breshad Perriman, and Jeremy Maclin are highly likely to make the team. Chris Campanaro is their best punt returner so he has a good chance. This leaves Chris Moore fighting with few others for what could be one spot. Even if he makes the team, he will need either injuries or to outperform at least one of the top three WR in order to get the touches needed to be a trustworthy fantasy option.

Jun 14th · 12:45 AM
Chris Moore The Favorite For No. 4 Job

Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said the team has confidence in wide receiver Chris Moore as the No. 4 receiver. That means Moore has jumped Michael Campanaro on the depth chart, although both wideouts are unlikely to carry much fantasy value outside of the deepest formats. Moore had just seven catches for 46 yards in 15 games his rookie season.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
