Amon-Ra St. Brown
The Detroit Lions activated wide receiver Kalif Raymond from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. Both Raymond and Josh Reynolds missed the Week 17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, but both receivers are back and should play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The addition of Reynolds in the second half of the season has hurt Raymond's production on a weekly basis, but he has added 44 catches on 66 targets for 475 yards and three touchdowns on the season and should return as the No. 3 wideout behind Reynolds and Amon-Ra St. Brown this weekend. It remains to be seen if quarterback Jared Goff (knee) will play in the last game. If not, Tim Boyle will make his third straight start.
The Detroit Lions placed wide receiver Kalif Raymond on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday. Raymond follows Josh Reynolds, who was placed on the list earlier this week, and the Lions also placed tight end Brock Wright on the COVID list this week. Raymond is now much more unlikely to clear the league's COVID protocols than Reynolds, but there's a good chance that neither wideout will be available in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks. Expect Seattle's defense to devote more attention to Lions No. 1 pass-catcher Amon-Ra St. Brown in this one, and if both Raymond and Reynolds are inactive, KhaDarel Hodge and Trinity Benson will be asked to step up as the No. 2 and 3 wideouts.
Detroit Lions wide receivers Josh Reynolds (thigh) and Kalif Raymond (shoulder) were both limited in practice all week and are questionable to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16. The fact that both wideouts were able to practice all week is a good sign that they'll be active this weekend. Since joining the Lions in Week 11, Reynolds has capitalized on his prior chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff from their days with the Rams and has essentially become the No. 2 behind Amon-Ra St. Brown. However, with Jared Goff unlikely to come off the COVID-19 list by Sunday, fantasy managers will need to downgrade all Detroit pass-catchers, even St. Brown. In his five games with Detroit, Reynolds has produced 16 catches for 259 yards and two touchdowns on 26 targets.
Detroit Lions wide receivers Josh Reynolds (thigh) and Kalif Raymond (shoulder) were both limited in practice on Wednesday. Reynolds was questionable last week with his thigh injury, but he played and caught all six of his targets for 68 yards and his second touchdown with the team in the shocking win over the Arizona Cardinals. Reynolds has surpassed Raymond as the second-most exciting receiver for fantasy purposes in Detroit, and he has shown plenty of chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff from their time together with the Rams. Goff is on the COVID list this week, though, so if he doesn't get cleared, Reynolds and Amon-Ra St. Brown would be less reliable as flex options in a nice matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this weekend.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond could have an opportunity to make some plays in Week 13 against a shaky Vikings secondary. Minnesota is currently allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing receivers and 17 different receivers have posted 50-plus receiving yards against them. Raymond has contributed some solid stat-lines this season but has only 12 targets and 45 receiving yards over his last four games. Raymond will carry an extremely low floor into Week 13's action.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond failed to record a catch in the Lions blowout loss to the Eagles in Week 8. Raymond was targeted only one time one week removed from posting six catches for 115 yards against the Rams. Raymond has posted some tantalizing fantasy lines in a couple of games this season but has failed to build off the brief success. Raymond is not a fantasy option, especially with the Lions going on Bye next week.
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff said that wide receiver Kalif Raymond reminds him of his favorite receiver when he was with the Rams -- Cooper Kupp. Raymond has emerged as Goff's most dependable weapon in the team's low-volume passing attack. He has 26 catches for 334 yards through seven weeks. In his first five NFL seasons, Raymond had 19 receptions for four different teams. He has emerged in the offense with both Tyrell Williams (concussion) and Quintez Cephus (collarbone) injured and has become the Lions best deep threat with six catches of 20-plus yards (tops on the team). Raymond had six catches for a season-high 115 yards in last week's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but a lot of that had to do with the fact that Jalen Ramsey was locking down rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown on one side of the field. Raymond has become of one Goff's favorite targets and is worth stashing for receiver depth, but he hasn't quite earned weekly flex viability in this low-volume passing attack.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond caught six passes for 115 yards in the team's 29-18 loss to the Rams in Week 7. It was a career-high performance in terms of yards for Raymond, who took advantage of the Rams secondary late in the game. Raymond was a fantasy player on the rise not too long ago but had mustered only 37 yards combined over his last two games heading into Week 7. Whether he can repeat this type of production on a weekly basis is a tall order but he certainly has become a player that quarterback Jared Goff looks for in the passing game.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond should be back in the offensive mix heading into the team's Week 6 matchup against the Bengals. The Lions were already down Tyrell Williams (concussion) to start the season and then lost Quintez Cephus (collarbone) last week. Raymond's value had been on the rise recently but failed to catch a pass in Week 5. The Bengals are allowing the 15th most fantasy points to opposing receivers and Raymond suddenly finds himself as the 1/2 receiver on the team. The slot receiver should see a healthy amount of targets but is not worth a fantasy play in Week 6.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond failed to catch a pass in the Lions 19-17 loss to the Vikings in Week 5. It was a disappointing effort after the slot receiver posted at least 40 receiving yards in three of his first four games this season. Raymond also was coming off a two-touchdown performance against the Bears in Week 4 but was nowhere to be found in this game. Raymond will try and bounce back playing in a mediocre Lions offense next week.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond will try and continue his pursuit to be the team's WR1 heading into Week 5. Raymond scored two touchdowns last week and has posted 14 catches for 182 yards through the first four weeks. The slot receiver has created a solid rapport with quarterback Jared Goff playing in an offense bereft of wide receiver options. Raymond will face a Vikings secondary that is allowing the 13th most fantasy points to opposing receivers, including three 100-yard receiving games and six touchdowns to the position. Raymond could be used as a FLEX play in deeper formats but lacks true starting fantasy potential at this time.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond caught three passes for 46 yards with two touchdowns in the Lions loss to the Bears in Week 4. Raymond has been thrust into duty with a series of injuries to the Lions wide receivers room and has been a positive option for quarterback Jared Goff. Raymond picked up both of his touchdowns in the second half and now has nine receptions for 114 yards over his last two games. Raymond could become a buy-low selection in DFS tournaments in Week 5.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond caught six passes for 68 yards in the team's 19-17 loss to the Lions in Week 3. Raymond received a team-high 10 targets and was one of the few Lions players to make some plays in the passing game. Detroit is very thin at wide receiver so there is plenty of opportunity for players like Raymond. But he will remain a very risky gamble among this week's streaming options heading into Week 4.
Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (groin) and wide receiver Kalif Raymond (thigh) are both active for Monday night's meeting with the Green Bay Packers after they were listed as questionable on the final injury report. In the Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Swift played 68.5 percent of the offensive snaps to Jamaal Williams' 34.8 percent and carried the ball 11 times for 39 yards while also catching eight of his 11 targets for 65 yards and a score. Williams saw nine carries for 54 yards and a score and caught eight of nine targets for 56 yards. In a game where the Lions could be forced to throw often again, Swift will be a high-end RB2 play. Raymond saw 75 percent of the snaps in Week 1 and caught three of four targets for 50 yards. He should see more work with Tyrell Williams (concussion) out, but it's hard to trust any pass-catcher outside of tight end T.J. Hockenson in this offense.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond (thigh) was added to the injury report ahead of Monday night's game against the Packers. He enters Week 2 listed as questionable. The Lions' depleted receiving corps is already without Tyrell Williams (concussion), making Raymond's injury all the more troublesome. If he can't suit up, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Quintez Cephus would be in line for a significant increase in targets. Trinity Benson would also figure into the mix, too. Outside of the wide receiver position, running backs D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams and tight end T.J. Hockenson are on track to carry the offense.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond continues to have a strong training camp with his new team. The 27-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the Titans and now has a chance to really contribute on a Lions team struggling with wide receiver depth. Raymond's lack of size (5'9") makes him no more than a slot receiver but appears to have secured a spot on the roster heading into the team's second preseason game.
The Detroit Lions signed free-agent kick returner/wide receiver Kalif Raymond to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday. Raymond played the last two seasons with the Tennessee Titans and will join his fifth NFL team. He's a natural candidate to replace Jamal Agnew as the team's primary return man in 2021. The 5-foot-8, 182-pounder has played almost exclusively on special teams in his five-year career, so he won't have any fantasy value. Raymond finished in the top 10 in most return categories last season. He has just 19 catches for 369 yards on offense in his career, with all of that production coming in 2019 and 2020 when he had more of an expanded role on offense for the Titans.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver/returner Kalif Raymond (COVID-19 list) will miss Sunday's contest versus Detroit after having been placed on the COVID-19/reserve list Saturday. (Players do not need to test positive to land on the list.) Raymond's role in 2020 has been primarily that of return specialist, having logged a combined 483 return yards on punts and kicks. The Titans Defense/special teams unit took a bit of a blow with the announcement that Matthew Stafford (ribs) would ultimately suit up in Week 15, but with Adoree' Jackson and Desmond King II available as fill-in return options, the group shouldn't sustain too much of a blow. Raymond's absence means that A.J. Brown, Corey Davis, Cameron Batson, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will handle WR duties Sunday, with Raymond's next chance to return coming in Week 16 against Green Bay.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kalif Raymond caught three receptions for 118 yards in the team's Week three victory over the Vikings. Raymond delivered the two biggest offensive plays of the day for the Titans, hauling in receptions of 61 and 44 yards. This was Raymond's first true involvement in the offense in 2020, as he had run just 18 routes entering the Week three contest. However, he emerged last season -- particularly in the playoffs -- as a deep threat and flashed the ability to maintain that role with this performance. He will not be much of a factor once A.J. Brown returns.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kalif Raymond (concussion) was downgraded to doubtful for the wild-card game against the Patriots on Saturday. Raymond wouldn't have been a realistic fantasy weapon even if he were healthy. A.J. Brown, Corey Davis and Tajae Sharpe should be the team's top three pass-catchers for wild-card weekend with Adam Humphries (ankle) also still out with injury. The Patriots Defense presents an extremely difficult matchup for a Tennessee team that relies on the run. Brown is really the attractive receiver for the Titans in terms of fantasy, but expected inclement weather could be bad news for the passing games for both teams in this one.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kalif Raymond placed an exclamation mark on his impressive training camp with by posting six receptions for 80 yards in the preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. Raymond had drawn praise from the Titans staff this week for his consistency throughout camp. He is making a strong push to be kept as the sixth receiver this season, much like Darius Jennings did with a strong preseason a year ago. Raymond will be a name to watch in the following weeks to see just how far up the depth chart he can find himself in Tennessee.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
