Robby Anderson Manages One Reception Against Dolphins

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson managed one reception for 15 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. Though the entire offense was out of sync on Sunday, Anderson has been underwhelming all season. The 28-year-old now has 30 yards or less in seven of the last eight games and hasn't produced well at all. He's off the fantasy radar going forward.

Robby Anderson - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson should remain on benches for the Week 12 clash against the Dolphins. The WR has a been a super disappointing fantasy option all season, not having posted more than 40 yards in a game since early October. Despite having a good target share in most games, Anderson cannot seem to take advantage of that. Because of his low production, he shouldn't be trusted even in a matchup with a Dolphins squad that allows the second-most fantasy points to WRs.

Robby Anderson Musters 30 Yards In Week 11

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson recorded five receptions for 30 yards on six targets in Sunday's loss to Washington. Anderson has struggled all season to produce despite seeing a decent target share most of the time. The 28-year-old once again posted a modest total in Week 11 and he hasn't topped 57 yards in a game this season. Given his low production all season, Anderson can safely be avoided in fantasy.

Robby Anderson - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is not worth a start in Week 11 against Washington. Anderson has struggled all throughout the 2021 season and has been wildly inconsistent. While his target share in some games hasn't been awful, it's his production that's making him an uninspiring fantasy option. The WR posted 57 yards back in Week 1 and he hasn't topped that total in any game since. Even in a favorable matchup against Washington, Anderson is best left out of starting lineups as he's too hard to trust at this point.

Robby Anderson Scores Touchdown Against Cardinals

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson recorded four receptions for 37 yards and a score on six targets in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Anderson has generally been underwhelming all season and this was the first time the WR posted more than 35 yards in a game since early October. Overall, the 28-year-old hasn't posted more than 57 yards in a game this season and his inconsistency makes him hard to trust in fantasy at this point.

Robby Anderson - Week 10 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson should be benched in Week 10 against the Cardinals. Anderson has been underwhelming this season and has a combined seven receptions for 27 yards on a whopping 24 targets. The WR simply hasn't been taking advantage of his opportunities and that makes him hard to trust, even more so with an inexperienced QB in P.J. Walker starting this week.

Robby Anderson Disappoints Once Again

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson caught just one of three passes for two yards in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. Anderson's tough year continued, as he was one of the worst performers on a day where the offense struggled to do much of anything. The speedy wideout was visibly frustrated on the sideline, as he has yet to repeat the solid every-week production of last season. Anderson is talented but fast approaching drop territory, considering the struggles of Sam Darnold.

Nov 5th · 08:53 PM
Robby Anderson - Week 9 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson will be tough to recommend in Week 9 against the Patriots. In perhaps one of the biggest understatements, Anderson has been a massive disappointment for fantasy purposes this year, as he has seen at least seven targets in four of his last five games but has failed to exceed 50 yards in any of them. Oddly enough, the Patriots have been one of the league's best matchups for wide receivers over the last four weeks- and Anderson could see more looks if D.J. Moore is the focus of Bill Belichick's defensive game plan. He's a start-worthy option only if you're desperate.

Robby Anderson Puts Up A Dud

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson managed no yards on a single target in Sunday's win over Atlanta. The WR has struggled this season with Carolina and hasn't posted more than 57 yards in a contest, which was back in Week 1. In the last three weeks, Anderson has only managed 25 yards total in those games combined. At this point, he shouldn't even occupy a spot on your fantasy team.

Oct 30th · 02:06 AM
Robby Anderson - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is a risky play in Week 8 against the Falcons. The WR has been underwhelming and inconsistent this season with Carolina. Despite seeing seven or more targets in four of seven games, the wideout hasn't posted more than 57 yards in a single contest. For now, Anderson will be hard to trust given he can't produce with the opportunities he is given. Even against an Atlanta team that is top-10 in terms of points allowed to fantasy wideouts, there are better options to start than the Temple product.

Robby Anderson Struggles Once Again

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson's struggles continued in a 25-3 loss to the Giants. Anderson saw nine targets, second behind D.J. Moore, but failed to produce anything with them in a rough all-around day. The speedy wideout certainly wasn't helped by quarterback Sam Darnold, who struggled mightily in the loss. Still, Anderson's career-low catch percentage makes him an unreliable fantasy option at the moment, even with a favorable matchup coming up against the Falcons.

Oct 22nd · 02:01 PM
Robby Anderson - Week 7 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson has struggled this season heading into a favorable matchup against the Giants. Anderson has caught just 15 of 40 targets for 190 yards and two touchdowns, posting a career-worst 37.5 percent catch rate. However, 29 of those 40 targets have come in the past three weeks, as the speedy wideout has seen his involvement in the offense skyrocket with Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) sidelined. Anderson should remain heavily involved with fellow receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. (head) trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's game. With a potentially elite target share incoming and a matchup against a Giants defense that has allowed the eighth-most touchdowns to wideouts on tap- Anderson could be poised for his best game of the year.

Robby Anderson Saves Fantasy Day With A Touchdown

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson managed three receptions for 11 yards and a score on 11 targets in Sunday's loss to Minnesota. This performance summed up Anderson's 2021 season, little production with many targets. In Week 4, Anderson managed 46 yards on 11 targets, and in Week 5, he compiled only 30 yards on seven targets. The target share is not the issue, but what Anderson makes of it is. The WR hasn't produced at a high level with the number of looks he is getting and that means his fantasy value should still be considered low going forward.

Oct 15th · 09:29 PM
Robby Anderson - Week 6 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is not a strong fantasy play this week. Anderson has struggled in 2021, not posting more than 57 yards in a single contest. Even though he had 11 and seven targets in the last two weeks, he only posted 46 and 30 yards, respectively, to go along with those targets. The sporadic numbers make it tough to trust Anderson in fantasy. Even though the Vikings are average against fantasy wideouts, he is a flex play in deeper leagues at best, nothing more.

Oct 10th · 10:23 PM
Robby Anderson Sees Seven Targets

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson caught just two passes for 30 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. Anderson's seven targets tied for the team lead, giving him 18 over the last two weeks, an encouraging development after the team vowed to get him more involved. Still, he'll need to be more productive to earn the trust of fantasy managers, who are probably more than fed up with him at the moment. It will be interesting to see if Anderson is still targeted like this when Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) returns. If so, Anderson could make for a sneaky flex play in Week 6 against a Vikings defense that has allowed the fourth-highest yards per reception mark to opposing wideouts.

Oct 8th · 04:52 PM
Robby Anderson Tough To Fully Trust In Week 5

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson gets a matchup against a middle-of-the-road Eagles secondary in Week 5. Anderson has been a fantasy disappointment this year, as he has failed to exceed 50 yards in all but one game, a contest where he caught one pass for 57 yards. Fortunately, the 28-year-old did see 11 targets last week after the coaching staff spoke publicly about getting him more involved, so there is a reason for optimism. Still, a matchup with an Eagles defense that has allowed the sixth-fewest yards per reception this season might not be one to target for Anderson's breakout game. He's a boom/bust WR3/4 option.

Oct 3rd · 08:58 PM
Robby Anderson Sees 11 Targets Against Cowboys

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson compiled five receptions for 46 yards on 11 targets in Sunday's loss to Dallas. The Temple product has had an inconsistent season thus far as he posted just eight yards in Week 3. Overall, Anderson hasn't posted more than 57 yards in any of the four games in 2021 and while his target share in Week 4 was quite encouraging, the relatively low production and inconsistency don't make Anderson a worthy fantasy starter moving forward.

Sep 30th · 12:44 AM
Robby Anderson A Flex Against Cowboys

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is only a flex option against Dallas in Week 4. Anderson started off the season well by putting up 57 yards and a score in Week 1 but his numbers have dipped each week since and he only managed one reception for eight yards on two targets in Week 3. D.J. Moore has emerged as the clear WR1 for Carolina, meaning Anderson is the WR2. Given his recent numbers, the Temple product should only be considered a flex piece at best this week even against a Cowboys defense that is friendly against the pass.

Sep 24th · 07:52 PM
Robby Anderson To Be More Involved In Offense?

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson put up a dud on Thursday night for fantasy managers, finishing with just one catch for eight yards. Head coach Matt Rhule said on Friday that the offense "has to find a way to get the ball to Anderson more, he's been open." Sam Darnold attempted 34 passes against the Houston Texans, with just two of those attempts heading in Anderson's direction. The former New York Jets teammates have built a rapport in the past, so it is no surprise that the Carolina offense will look to feature the speedy receiver more. Until he can prove to have a significant role on a consistent basis, the 28-year-old should remain out of fantasy lineups.

Sep 24th · 04:27 AM
Robby Anderson Disappears In Win Over Texans

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson hauled in just one pass in Thursday's 24-9 win over Houston. Anderson dropped a pass in the second quarter, then wasn't targeted again until the fourth quarter. The speedy receiver not only worked behind fellow wideout Terrace Marshall Jr., but he also saw fewer targets than tight end Dan Arnold and backup running back Chuba Hubbard. The only saving grace for Anderson is that he maintained his snap count advantage over Marshall, though the gap seems to be narrowing by the week. Anderson could see more targets moving forward if Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) has to miss time. However, the former Jet will be almost impossible to trust in fantasy, even against a beatable Dallas defense in Week 4.

Sep 22nd · 10:55 PM
Robby Anderson A Solid Flex Option Against Houston

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson draws a favorable matchup in Week 3 against the Texans. Anderson has disappointed in terms of overall production, totaling just four receptions through two weeks of play. However, there are reasons to be encouraged, namely the fact that he's been on the field for at least 74 percent of the snaps in each game- and that he has accrued the highest percentage share of his team's targeted air yards, 37.8 percent, the 17th-highest mark in the league. Fantasy managers may be wary of going back to Anderson, but the matchup might be too good to pass up, as the Texans allowed the eighth-most receiving yards to opposing teams last year- and they don't appear to be an improved unit. Anderson should be able to post solid WR3 numbers in this matchup.

Sep 20th · 01:42 AM
Robby Anderson Manages 38 Yards

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson finished with three receptions for 38 yards on six targets in Sunday's win over the Saints. Though Anderson saw double the amount of targets in Week 2 than in Week 1, he finished with fewer receiving yards against the Saints (he had 57 yards in Week 1). The Temple product has had a slow start to the season compared to teammate D.J. Moore. Nevertheless, Anderson should be considered the WR2 on the team and will see some looks each week. He shouldn't be considered an every-week starter until his numbers improve. His next chance to shine will come on Thursday against the Texans.

Sep 18th · 01:03 AM
Robby Anderson A Flex At Best Against Saints

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson shouldn't be considered anything more than a flex play this week against New Orleans. Though the receiver posted a touchdown last week, it was his only catch of the day as he finished with one catch for 57 yards on three targets. This week, he faces a tough Saints defense which held the Packers to only three points last week and overall allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to wideouts after one week. Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore will likely see more volume this week, so Anderson is a risky play given the opponent and his lower number of targets last week.

Sep 12th · 09:41 PM
Robby Anderson Scores Long Touchdown In Victory

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson caught one pass, but made it count in Sunday's victory over the Jets. Anderson connected with his old friend Sam Darnold on a 57-yard score against his former employer, beating the inexperienced Jets secondary. The speedy wideout was only targeted three times, taking a backseat to Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore, which would have been more concerning if he didn't haul in the long touchdown. Anderson should still be viewed on the WR2/3 border moving forward thanks to his big-play ability, though his upside would take a hit if he continues to be the third option behind McCaffrey and Moore. He'll get a bit of a tougher matchup in Week 2 against the Saints' defense.

Sep 7th · 09:21 PM
Robby Anderson Could Enjoy Big Game Against Former Team

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson will look to build off of last year's strong campaign against his former team, the Jets, in Week 1 of the 2021 season. The Panthers agreed to a two-year, $29.5 million extension with Anderson after a career year that saw him place ninth in the league in targets with a career-best 95 catches for 1,096 yards. The 28-year-old will kick off this season with a favorable matchup against a Jets defense that surrendered the sixth-most fantasy points to wideouts last year. Anderson looks like a fringe WR2/3 with a high floor for Week 1.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
