Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen (knee) remains on the PUP list and is in serious danger of missing the team's opener against the Los Angeles Rams in just a few weeks. Cohen continues to rehab after he tore his ACL during Week 3 of the 2020-21 campaign. Still, the uncertainty surrounding his availability is unsettling for fantasy managers who continue to hope he will make it back soon. However, if Cohen can't return for Week 1 and beyond, Damien Williams will most likely assume the role as the team's pass-catching back, while David Montgomery should get most of the touches in the running game.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen (knee) remains on the PUP list heading into the team's final preseason. Cohen has been rehabbing a torn ACL and does not appear close to returning to the practice field. The Bears coaching staff will have to make final cuts over the next week and if Cohen is not activated he will have to miss the first six games of the season. This could provide some flexibility for the Bears to get a longer look at rookie Khalil Herbert and keep special teams ace Ryan Nall.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen (knee) still is on the team's PUP list and may be a week or so away from returning. Cohen tore his ACL last season and the team is being cautious with his rehab. The Bears have starter David Montgomery in the fold along with veteran Damien Williams and rookie Khalil Herbert while Cohen works his way back. When he returns, Cohen brings a different change-of-pace dimension to the offense and can also make plays in the passing game.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen(knee) will take the field in training camp for the first time since tearing his ACL in Week 3 of the 2020 season. The 25-year-old became a dynamic threat in the Bears offensive scheme in 2018 but has been struggling to recapture that magic ever since. Cohen totaled 1,169 all-purpose yards in 2018, but that number plummeted to 669 yards the following season. The speedster did average 75 receptions during that span, making him an attractive fringe option in PPR leagues. But his health and his role in the Bears 2021 offense will be worth monitoring before assessing his true fantasy value this season.
Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy confirmed that running back Tarik Cohen (knee) tore his ACL in the Week 3 win over the Falcons, and he'll be placed on Injured Reserve for the rest of the season. It's a tough loss for the Bears, as Cohen was a nice pass-catching option out of the backfield and was difficult to bring down in space. The 25-year-old finishes the 2020 season with 14 carries for 74 yards and six catches for 41 yards in three games. Ryan Nall will have a bigger role as the backup to David Montgomery, but wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson might see more touches out of the backfield in a hybrid role in Nagy's offense. Patterson probably won't be worth a waiver-wire addition in the majority of leagues, but he's worth watching.
Chicago Bears running Tarik Cohen may have suffered a torn ACL against the Falcons in Week 3, per ESPN's Adam Shefter. Cohen was returning a punt when a Falcons defender collapsed onto his right leg. The speedster was helped off the field hopping and was carted to the locker room. Cohen recently signed a three-year extension with the team and was a contributor in Week 3 before the injury. The elusive back rushed for a solid 17-yard game in the first quarter and caught a screen pass for a 20-yard gain. The news is not official, but Cohen's season could be over.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen (knee) may be out for the remainder of the season, according to head coach Matt Nagy. Cohen was injured during the fourth quarter of Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, and with the team fearing a torn ACL for the 25-year-old, he may have a long road of rehab ahead. He will be evaluated further on Monday, but fantasy managers should expect the worst.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen (leg) was helped off the field in the fourth quarter of the team's Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons. He injured his right leg and wasn't able to put pressure on it as he left the game. Cohen had two carries for 21 yards and caught three of his six targets for 20 yards before the injury. He might be a long shot to return due to the limited time remaining in the game. David Montgomery and Cordarrelle Patterson should see additional opportunities if Cohen remains out.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen is still looking for a huge play heading into the team's matchup with the Falcons in Week 3. Cohen has only 12 carries on the season and 27 receiving yards through two games, but will have a favorable tilt against the Falcons. Atlanta is allowing 39 points a game to opponents through the first two weeks and have surrendered four total touchdowns already to opposing running backs. Cohen can break a game open at any time but is fighting for carries with starter David Montgomery and Cordarrelle Patterson. Cohen will be no more than a boom-or-bust flex option heading into this weekend's action.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen carried the ball five times for 12 yards and added one 15-yard reception in the Bears win over the Giants in Week 2. Cohen was featured early but this became David Montgomery's game by the second half. Cohen is extremely talented and is also coming off signing a three-year extension. But he is also extremely volatile from a fantasy perspective and will be a dicey play based on touches heading into Week 2 against the Falcons.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $17.25 million, including $9.53 million in guaranteed money. Cohen had an excellent year in 2018, exceeding 400 rushing and receiving yards, though he fell back down to earth in 2019. He has the versatility to be an excellent player for both his team and fantasy managers, so this extension is good news on those fronts. Cohen should continue to be an active part of the Chicago offense moving forward.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen is working on a contract extension with the team. The talks have progressed well and the two sides were pushing to get the deal done in advance of Week 2, though it may have to wait until after Chicago's game against the Giants on Sunday. The dynamic halfback has averaged 4.2 yards per carry on 257 career attempts and has exceeded 300 receiving yards in each of his three seasons in the league. The Bears are clearly viewing him as an important part of their future, which is music to the ears of fantasy managers. Stay tuned for details on any potential contract signing.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen made some solid contributions in Week 1, picking up 41 rushing yards on only seven carries in Week 1. Cohen will face a Giants Defense in Week 2 that allowed 149 rushing yards to the Steelers last week and allowed a 74.7% completion percentage to opposing backs in the passing game in 2019. Cohen has game-breaking talent but will be limited from a fantasy perspective with incumbent starter David Montgomery healthy and getting the bulk of the carries. The Bears also like getting Cordarrelle Patterson into the mix as well, further limiting the ceiling Cohen can reach in fantasy. Cohen may need to ride the bench in Week 2.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen carried the ball seven times for 41 yards and added six receiving yards in the Bears win over the Lions in Week 1. Cohen played plenty of snaps but lacked the touches, especially after the Bears went down by 17 points. The box score might not reflect it but Cohen's performance was positive, running hard between the tackles. He will, however, be no more than fringe fantasy play heading into Week 2.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen is expected to see the bulk of the carries Week 1 against the Lions. Teammate David Montgomery (groin) returned to practice but his status is iffy at best to play in the opener. Enter Cohen, who has game-breaking abilities with the ball in his hands but is coming off an extremely disappointing 2019. Cohen's receptions rose from 71 to 79 last season but his yards-per-catch was cut almost in half from 10.2 to only 5.8. The speedster, however, will have an intriguing matchup against a Lions Defense that last season allowed the seventh most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Detroit was middle-of-the-pack in terms of receptions allowed to running backs but allowed a 71% completions percentage and seven touchdown receptions to the position. These numbers set up well for Cohen to have an active effort Week 1 and will carry moderate FLEX value with upside against the Lions.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen's value will be on the rise heading into fantasy draft's this weekend, as it looks increasingly possible that starter David Montgomery misses Week 1 with a groin injury. It was a wildly disappointing season for the diminutive playmaker in 2019 after he racked up 1,169 all-purpose yards in 2018. Cohen's receptions actually increased last season with a career-high 79, but his yards per catch sliced almost in half from 10.2 in '18 to 5.8. The fourth-year running back can be dangerous in the open field, but the Bears coaching staff struggled to get him the ball in space. Despite the regression last season, Cohen will have positive value heading into Week 1 as he stands atop the Bears depth chart heading into their matchup against the Lions.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen set career-highs in rushing yards (444), receiving yards (725) and total touchdowns (eight) in 2018, but he disappeared last season. According to Cohen, the reason for his regression was due to the wear and tear on his small frame. "Ive been doing yoga now, stretching more often and just like the small training room in-house things you do to keep your body durable," Cohen said. Another reason for his regression in real life and in fantasy was his lack of big plays. The 24-year-old could easily bounce back with Nick Foles expected to take over at quarterback, and Cohen could be a nice value pick at his current ADP as more of an RB3/flex in PPR leagues.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen caught nine passes for 44 yards and added 20 rushing yards in the Bears 21-19 win over the Vikings in Week 17. It has been a disappointing season for the speedster but he played an important role in this final victory of the season. Cohen's yardage production was cut in half this season as the Bears offense, in turn, also struggled. Cohen's fantasy value took a major hit this season as the questions will continue to stack up for the entire Bears offense moving forward.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen will wrap up a disappointing offensive season against the Vikings in Week 17. Cohen caught a touchdown but posted only 18 yards from scrimmage against the Vikings in Week 4, a unit that is allowing the 11th fewest fantasy points to running backs. After posting 1,169 yards from scrimmage last season with eight touchdowns, Cohen's numbers have dipped to 605 total yards and only three scores. The Bears offense ranks at the bottom of most categories across the league and the inability to get Cohen in open space this season has been a major factor. Cohen is not worth the gamble in Week 17 among DFS tournaments.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen caught three passes for 25 yards in the team's 26-3 loss to the Chiefs in Week 16. The entire offense struggled from the jump and Cohen saw only four targets in the game. After posting 1,000-plus yards from scrimmage last season, Cohen's production in 2019 has been cut in half. The Bears offense has plenty of soul-searching to do in the offseason and Cohen is not fantasy viable heading into the final week of the regular season.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen will face a Chiefs Defense in Week 16 that is allowing the fourth most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. Kansas City, at times, has been gashed by running backs this season but the Bears have failed to establish an identity in the run game. Cohen's season has certainly been a disappointment and the Bears have failed to maximize his skill-set in open space. With fantasy championships on the line, Cohen does not possess a ton of value. Even in DFS for Week 16, Cohen will need a touchdown to post a solid fantasy line.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen caught seven passes for 57 yards and added 28 rushing yards in the team's 21-13 loss to the Packers. It was the most active game Cohen has seen in weeks and was able to add to his numbers with the team down multiple scores in the second half. It certainly has been a disappointing season for the talented speedster as his 85 yards from scrimmage is his highest mark of the season. Cohen lacks strong fantasy appeal heading into Week 16.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen will take on a Packers Defense in Week 15 that is allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing backs this season. Green Bay has allowed 13 different running backs to post 11 or more fantasy points against them and 13 rushing touchdowns. The matchup is appealing but Cohen lacks value as a fantasy starter for Week 15. He has a role in an improving offense but his touches have decreased as the season has gone along. Cohen has taken on more of a change-of-pace role in the offense and his touches have been capped in the 8-to-12 range. Cohen has game-breaking talent but his fantasy floor should be keep him on the bench in most leagues in Week 15.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen pulled in all six of his targets for 24 yards in the win over the Cowboys. He also had seven yards off of three carries. Once again, Cohen did little on the ground as David Montgomery served as the workhorse on Thursday by logging 86 yards on 20 attempts. After scoring a touchdown in each game against the Lions and Rams, the 24-year-old hasn't done much over the last three weeks outside of picking up the scraps left over by Montgomery, Allen Robinson, and Anthony Miller. He is good for the occasional score, but don't expect much against the Packers in Week 15 or throughout the remainder of the year, for that matter.
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen will try and break a big play against the Cowboys to kick off Week 14 on Thursday night. The Dallas defense is allowing the 15th most fantasy points to opposing running backs but have allowed only one receiving touchdown to the position all season. Despite the semi-appealing matchup, Cohen has been one of the more disappointing fantasy assets this season. After racking up 1,000-plus yards from scrimmage last season, Cohen has only 456 total yards through 12 games. The Bears stagnant offense has failed to get the ball into Cohen's hands in space and trusting him in fantasy lineups will be a leap of faith in Week 14.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
