Tim Patrick Has His Worst Game Of The Season

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick will want to move on quickly from his performance in the Sunday night loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs. In the 22-9 loss, he had season-lows in catches (one) and receiving yards (nine) on five total targets in Week 13. Since scoring his fourth touchdown of the year in Week 9, Patrick has only six catches on 14 targets for 49 yards in three games. The 28-year-old usually catches most passes thrown his way, but he couldn't get on the same page as quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in prime time. In Denver's low-volume passing attack as the No. 3 receiver behind Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, Patrick's floor is scary as a WR4/5 in deeper leagues.

Tim Patrick - Week 13 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick has had floor games each of the last two weeks, going for three catches (six targets) and 14 yards in Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles and two catches (three targets) for 26 yards in last week's win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Patrick scored a touchdown in Week 9 and has been more productive than Courtland Sutton since Jerry Jeudy returned from Injured Reserve in Week 8, but Denver's low-volume passing attack with a quarterback that likes to spread the ball around makes it hard to rely on Patrick for weekly production as a WR4/flex. The 28-year-old will mostly likely need to find the end zone for a fifth time this year to be worth it in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs, who have allowed 11 TDs to receivers in 2021, tied for 16th in the NFL.

Tim Patrick Leads Broncos Receivers With 26 Yards

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick caught two of his three targets for 26 yards, which led the team's receivers (rookie running back Javonte Williams had 57 receiving yards) in the 28-13 Week 12 win over the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers. On a day in which quarterback Teddy Bridgewater injured his shin and attempted only 18 passes, no Broncos player saw more than four targets. It also didn't help that the Broncos never trailed in this game and leaned heavily on their ground attack. Denver should have to throw the ball much more in an important Week 13 divisional date with the Kansas City Chiefs, but in this crowded offense that prefers to run the ball, Patrick will likely remain a low-volume, touchdown-dependent WR4/flex.

Tim Patrick - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick was recently signed to a three-year, $30 million contract extension and was also named to ESPN's all-underrated team for 2021. Patrick has kept a snap rate over 90% despite Jerry Jeudy's return in Week 8, and he ranks fourth in receiving DVOA this year while averaging 9.9 yards per target. The 28-year-old has been a key part of Denver's offense the last two years, especially when Courtland Sutton tore his ACL early in 2020. He has four touchdowns in 2021 and a career-high catch percentage of 69.8%, but he's seen just 14 targets (10 catches, 163 yards, one touchdown) in three games since Jeudy's return from a high ankle sprain. Patrick shouldn't be overlooked in this offense, but with targets hard to come by behind Jeudy and Sutton, he'll be a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex against a strong Los Angeles Chargers secondary this Sunday.

Nov 19th · 09:41 PM
Broncos Sign Tim Patrick To Three-Year Extension

The Denver Broncos signed wide receiver Tim Patrick to a three-year contract extension on Friday that is worth up to $34.5 million with $18.5 million guaranteed, according to a source. Patrick stepped up in a big way to lead the Broncos in receiving in 2020 with Courtland Sutton going down with a season-ending knee injury early in the year. The 27-year-old usually catches everything thrown his way and continues to be a reliable option for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater this year, coming down with a career-high 69.8% of his targets. Patrick has 37 receptions for 523 yards and four touchdowns on 53 targets, but the problem for fantasy is the Broncos spread the ball around to a plethora of options. And right now all of their options are healthy, which merely makes Patrick a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex.

Nov 15th · 04:38 AM
Tim Patrick Produces Season-Low 14 Yards Sunday

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick had a really disappointing game in the 30-13 Week 10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles after having been the team's most productive wideout the previous two weeks. Patrick was targeted six times, which was tied for second-most on the team, but he hauled in just three passes for a season-low 14 yards on Sunday. Denver's offense was just never able to get in sync against the Eagles in this one. Patrick is an underrated NFL receiver and can be a solid red-zone option when Denver's offense can move the ball, but he'll be impossible to predict as a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex in a low-volume passing attack that can't provide Patrick with enough weekly volume.

Nov 14th · 08:28 PM
Tim Patrick, Albert Okwuegbunam Active

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee) and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (knee) are both active for Sunday's Week 10 contest against the Eagles. Okwuegbunam splitting snaps with Noah Fant keeps him from being a fantasy option this week, but Patrick has appeal as a flex option in deeper leagues due to his scoring upside.

Nov 14th · 11:59 AM
Tim Patrick On Track To Play In Week 10

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee) "should play" on Sunday despite being listed as questionable, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 27-year-old missed practice on Wednesday before logging limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. Through nine games this season, he has hauled in 34 passes for 509 yards and four touchdowns. Although he's fourth in the pecking order behind Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, and Noah Fant, Patrick's steady floor makes him a serviceable FLEX play in Week 10.

Nov 13th · 07:00 PM
Tim Patrick - Week 10 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee) has had a nice two-week stretch, catching seven of his eight targets for 149 yards and his fourth touchdown of the season. He's listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but he should have a decent chance at playing after getting in a limited practice on Friday. Patrick has a career-high 72.3% catch percentage on 47 targets through nine games and has been extremely reliable for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. However, he'll remain a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex for fantasy managers in this low-volume passing attack, especially with tight end Noah Fant returning from the COVID-19 list on Sunday.

Nov 13th · 01:04 AM
Tim Patrick, Albert Okwuegbunam Questionable For Week 10

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee) and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (knee) are both listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Both players were limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, so they should have a good chance of suiting up on Sunday. Patrick has been the team's best receiver each of the last two weeks, but he remains the No. 3 wideout behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, and tight end Noah Fant is returning from the COVID-19 list this weekend. The 27-year-old is extremely reliable, durable and efficient, but in this low-volume passing attack with plenty of options, Patrick remains a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex. Okwuegbunam won't see enough of a workload with Fant returning to be intriguing as a TE2 with upside.

Nov 11th · 10:57 PM
Tim Patrick, Albert Okwuegbunam Back At Practice

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee) and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (knee) both returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's session. They were both limited participants on Thursday. Patrick has surprisingly led the Broncos in receiving each of the last two weeks, catching seven of his eight targets for 149 yards and a touchdown. He remains one of the most underrated pass-catchers in the game, but his limited target share in a crowded group of receivers will continue to make him a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex, especially with Noah Fant returning in Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Albert O won't have any fantasy appeal with Fant returning from the COVID-19 list.

Nov 10th · 11:34 PM
Tim Patrick Misses Practice With Knee Injury

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee) and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (knee) were both absent from practice on Wednesday. Patrick reportedly dealt with cramping in the Week 9 win over the Dallas Cowboys, but his practice status the rest of the week needs to be monitored. The 27-year-old has surprisingly been the team's best receiver each of the last two weeks, but fantasy managers shouldn't count on that continuing, especially with tight end Noah Fant coming off the COVID-19 list on Wednesday. If Patrick can play on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, he'll be a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex. Albert O caught four of five targets for 25 yards in Fant's absence last week before getting injured. With Fant set to return, Okwuegbunam loses what little fantasy appeal he might've had.

Nov 8th · 03:48 AM
Tim Patrick Leads Broncos In Receiving For Second Straight Week

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick led the team in receiving for the second straight week and also caught his fourth touchdown of the season in the 31-16 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9. Patrick caught four of his five targets for a team-leading 85 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. The 27-year-old pass-catcher appeared to injury his knee late in the second half, but it turned out to be just cramping, and he should be fine for Week 10. Half of Patrick's yardage on the day came on his 44-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. Patrick is one of the most underrated receivers in football and has good chemistry with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, but he'll continue to remain a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex in a low-volume passing attack that has plenty of competition for targets.

Nov 6th · 03:52 PM
Tim Patrick - Week 9 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Don't count on Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick leading the team in receiving in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys like he did last week against the Washington Football Team when he caught all three of his targets for 64 yards. At best, he's a WR4/flex consideration in deeper leagues, even with tight end Noah Fant likely out due to COVID-19. Patrick has three touchdowns on the year and had a season-high nine targets in Week 5, but with second-year wideout Jerry Jeudy back in the fold, Patrick's already limited fantasy ceiling is even lower. The Cowboys have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to receivers this year and the Broncos could be passing more than they'd like in this one, but Patrick will likely need to find the end zone for a fourth time to really reward his fantasy managers.

Nov 1st · 12:38 AM
Tim Patrick Surprisingly Leads Broncos In Receiving

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick had only three targets in the 17-10 win over the Washington Football Team in Week 8, but he caught all three of those targets and led the team in receiving yards with 64 on a day in which quarterback Teddy Bridgewater only threw for 213 yards. Four players had one more target than Patrick, and two other plays also received three targets, so Bridgewater was clearly spreading the ball around against Washington. Patrick is one of the more underrated wideouts in the NFL in terms of efficiency, but he's not a big-play guy and is unlikely to lead the Broncos in receiving many more times the rest of the way with Jerry Jeudy back from his high ankle sprain. Fantasy managers can't realistically rely on Patrick as anything more than a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex in deeper leagues.

Oct 29th · 02:34 PM
Tim Patrick - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Dating back to last season, Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick has been a reliable and steady contributor among injuries to the team's other wideouts. The 27-year-old has a career-high 69.2% catch rate on 39 targets through seven games, hauling in 27 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns. However, he had his worst game of the year (2-16-0) in the Week 7 loss to the Cleveland Browns last Thursday, and he's in line for a lesser role moving forward with second-year pass-catcher and former first-rounder Jerry Jeudy set to return from a high ankle sprain in Week 8 against the Washington Football Team. Patrick has been extremely efficient, but he was seeing only 5.6 targets per game with Jeudy sidelined, and that number figures to drop with Jeudy returning. Patrick can't be relied on as a realistic starting option in fantasy this week.

Oct 22nd · 05:09 AM
Tim Patrick Has Worst Game Of His Season On Thursday

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick caught a season-low two passes (five targets) for just 16 yards in the 17-14 loss to the Cleveland Browns on the road on Thursday Night Football in Week 7. His five targets were tied for third-most on the team on a night where Denver was really dominated on both sides of the ball despite what the scoreboard said when the night was over -- the offense had just two first downs in the first half. Patrick has been a reliable target the last two seasons, but he's not explosive and will pretty much be useless again in fantasy when/if Jerry Jeudy (ankle) returns in Week 8 against the Washington Football Team. The 27-year-old can probably be dropped in 12-team leagues with Jeudy's return from Injured Reserve looming.

Oct 21st · 12:50 AM
Tim Patrick - Week 7 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick enters the Week 7 matchup against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night looking for his fourth touchdown of the season. Patrick hauled in three of his six targets in last weekend's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders for 42 yards and his third touchdown of the year. The 27-year-old was well behind both Courtland Sutton (14) and Noah Fant (11) in targets, and that will likely continue to be the case for at least one more week with Jerry Jeudy (ankle) slowly nearing a return. Patrick has some of the best hands in the NFL and is as reliable as they come, but he averages just 10.1 yards per target and doesn't have a ton of fantasy upside as a WR3/flex, even in a good matchup against a Cleveland secondary that has been very generous to pass-catchers in 2021.

Oct 18th · 03:38 AM
Tim Patrick Scores Third Touchdown Of The Season

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick only caught three of his six targets in the Week 6 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, but he went for 42 yards and the team's first touchdown of the day. Patrick scored for the first time since Week 2, but he had just one more target and five more yards than Kendall Hinton, who has been serving as Denver's third wideout with Jerry Jeudy (ankle) still on Injured Reserve. Backup tight end Eric Saubert also had five targets in the blowout loss. The 27-year-old Patrick is one of the more underrated pass-catchers in the NFL, but it doesn't translate to a ton of fantasy production. He'll pretty much be off the fantasy radar as a WR4/flex in deeper leagues once Jeudy returns to the fold.

Oct 16th · 02:24 AM
Tim Patrick - Week 6 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick hasn't put up gaudy numbers or done anything overly special with Jerry Jeudy sidelined by a high ankle sprain, but he is quietly one of the NFL's best receivers. Through five weeks, Patrick leads the NFL by a wide margin with a plus-15.8% catch rate over expected. Oh, and he also hasn't dropped a pass in 127 targets since the 2019 season. He's gradually seen an increase in targets as the season has progressed, and he had a season-high seven catches on nine targets for 89 yards in the Week 5 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. But because he's not much of a big-play receiver in a middling offense, Patrick has been merely a WR4/flex option in fantasy with Jeudy out. There won't be a ton of upside in Week 6 against a Las Vegas Raiders defense that has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the receiver position this year.

Oct 12th · 03:28 PM
Tim Patrick Has Season-High Seven Catches In Loss

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick didn't find the end zone for the third straight game, but he did have a season-high seven receptions on nine targets for 89 yards in the 29-17 Week 5 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Patrick's nine targets were second to only Courtland Sutton, and his seven catches tied Sutton for the team lead in a game where the Broncos were forced to throw often. The 27-year-old has 22 catches for 302 yards and two touchdowns and has been filling in nicely as the second wideout with Jerry Jeudy dealing with a high ankle sprain. Patrick isn't flashy, but he's consistent and efficient when the ball is thrown his way. As long as Jeudy remains out, Patrick has some appeal as a WR4/flex in deeper leagues.

Oct 8th · 03:05 PM
Tim Patrick Has Shaky Flex Appeal Entering Week 5

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick remains undervalued after he led the Broncos in receiving in 2020. He started off strong with seven catches on eight targets for 76 yards and two touchdowns in the first two games of this season, but he had only three catches on six targets for 39 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and he hasn't scored a touchdown in the last two games. Patrick will continue to serve as the team's No. 2 receiver behind Courtland Sutton with Jerry Jeudy (ankle) still out, but he'll be harder to get behind as a WR4/flex in deeper leagues if quarterback Drew Lock is forced to start in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers with Teddy Bridgewater dealing with a concussion. It's not surprising that Patrick had his lowest catch percentage (50%) with Lock playing the second half last Sunday.

Oct 4th · 04:59 AM
Tim Patrick Has Pedestrian Day In Loss To Baltimore

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick only caught three of six targets for 39 yards in the 23-7 Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Patrick was predictably third in the pecking order behind tight end Noah Fant and receiver Courtland Sutton. The Broncos offense was forced to pass in the second half trailing by multiple scores, but it didn't matter much. Quarterback Drew Lock replaced the injured Teddy Bridgewater (head) after halftime and was out of sync with his receivers and looked indecisive with the football. Patrick will continue to see more chances until Jerry Jeudy returns from a high ankle sprain, but he'll be a pretty shaky touchdown-dependent WR4/flex in deeper leagues if Lock is forced into a start in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Oct 1st · 08:10 PM
Tim Patrick Playing At A High Level

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick has been a popular waiver-wire pickup early in the 2021 campaign after injuries to Jerry Jeudy (ankle) and KJ Hamler (knee). With Hamler now out for the season and Jeudy still sidelined, Patrick will be the No. 2 receiver in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens. According to Football Outsiders, Patrick ranks fourth in the NFL in Defense-Adjusted Yards Above Replacement, first in Defense-Adjusted Value Over Average and first in catch rate. The 27-year-old just gets it done. He's caught 12 of 13 targets for 174 yards and two touchdowns through three games and will have upside as a WR3/flex, albeit in a tough matchup against Baltimore's defense.

Sep 27th · 04:30 AM
Tim Patrick Leads Broncos In Receiving In Week 3

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick led the team with five catches on five targets for 98 receiving yards in the Week 3 win over the New York Jets. Patrick's five targets were tied with Courtland Sutton for the most on Sunday in a game in which the Broncos did not need to air the ball out much. With Jerry Jeudy dealing with a high ankle sprain suffered in the season opener, Patrick has become a WR4/flex option, and his value could go up even more if KJ Hamler's knee injury causes him to miss any games. The 27-year-old isn't much of a big-play threat, but he's consistent when targeted and is also one of the team's better red-zone weapons because of his physicality. Patrick is only 22 percent owned in Yahoo leagues, but that number should be on the rise heading into a Week 4 date with the Baltimore Ravens.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
