Aaron Rodgers Speaks On Relationship With Matt LaFleur During Transparent Interview

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had his first extended interview during Training Camp On Wednesday. And the reigning MVP did not disappoint.

He was honest, composed and transparent when speaking about his issues with the Packers’ front office.

During his extended session with the media, Aaron Rodgers was asked if his distrust extended to head coach Matt LaFleur.

He didn’t go for it, and maintained that he has always had a great working relationship with the third-year head coach.

“I love Matt, we’ve had a blast and I’m glad he’s here,” Rodgers said, per Mike Garafolo.

Aaron Rodgers might have been upset with not being consulted on the head coach hire after Mike McCarthy was let go. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he has it out for Matt LaFleur.

During their two seasons together, LaFleur has gotten better numbers out of Rodgers and the Packers offense.

However, Matt LaFleur’s decision to kick a late field goal during the team’s playoff loss to the Buccaneers likely irked Rodgers. The team was down eight at the end of the game, and only needed two yards for the TD.

Rodgers didn’t see the ball for the rest of the game.

Nevertheless, Aaron Rodgers is pinning his issues solely on how he has been treated by the Packers’ brass. And he’s doing a pretty good job of proving a point.

We’ll continue to track the Rodgers story all season long.
