Alejandro Villanueva Appears To Throw Shade At JuJu Smith-Schuster And His TikToks During Ravens Introductory Presser

Star offensive lineman Alejandro Villanueva made the inner-rivalry switch from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Baltimore Ravens this offseason. Villanueva was inked by Baltimore for a two-year $14 Million deal, and had his introductory press conference with the Baltimore media today.

During the Zoom presser, Villanueva talked about the tough decision to move from Pittsburgh to Baltimore.

“It wasn’t really a tough decision,” Villanueva told reporters via Total Pro Sports. “Everybody from top bottom was pretty awesome.”

“When you see Lamar Jackson play,” Villanueva told Baltimore reporters, “you want to do everything for him, protect him and continue to see the magic that he displays on the field.”

After playing nice, Villanueva then appeared to throw a slight dig at former teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster, who’s known for his TikTok videos just as much as his football playing.

I’ll give Alejandro Villanueva a pass on this one. He doesn’t really attack JuJu, he kind of just sounds like he’s making a little joke.

Being as he’s making a switch within one of the most heated rivalries in all of sports, this comment might be construed differently than it would normally be under any other circumstance.

Nevertheless, I think Villanueva will have a better situation in Baltimore than he had in Pittsburgh. While the Steelers had a great run with Ben Roethlisberger as their QB for the past decade+, it seems like they’re on the decline, and Baltimore will be the frontrunner in the division for the next few years.
