Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. could never develop the chemistry that was expected of them on the field. And now, it looks like their marriage could be coming to an end.

After OBJ failed to have a successful afternoon against the Steelers, his father sent out a long eleven minute video of a bunch of times Mayfield missed his son despite being open.

And after the Trade Deadline came and went without any significant deals for the Browns, Odell Beckham Jr. was no where to be found during practice on Wednesday. Coach Kevin Stefanski reportedly told the team to prepare for a future without the disgruntled receiver.

Baker Mayfield was asked about the notion that he was “deliberately” not throwing the ball OBJ’s way.

The quarterback would go on to say that he thinks he can put aside the past if Odell Beckham Jr. decides to come back to the team.

Baker Mayfield said all of the right things when asked about Odell Beckham Jr. on Wednesday. But in the back of his head, I’m sure he’s hoping that Odell doesn’t come walking back through the door again. And I think he’ll get his wish.
