Ben Simmons has been a hot topic after a dismal postseason has led to the likelihood that the Sixers will move the skilled point guard this offseason.
While Simmons continues to take shade from fans and the media, he decided to dip to the UK right after the season to clear his head.

Danny Green just arrived in Philly before this season. But the seasoned veteran revealed that he saw a somewhat troubled guy in Ben Simmons.
Heres what Green said on what he observed with Simmons throughout the year.
“I saw a kid that had been going through a lot the whole year. Mentally, emotionally, inside, outside, off the court with his family… I knew he was going through a lot,” Green said on his Inside The Green Room podcast, per Jack Connell. “You can tell Ben’s the type of kid if he’s not encouraged, if he’s not pushed or forced to do it, he’s not the type to take that risk…”
“…I think it was a plethora of things that made a domino effect for him to kind of go into his shell. At the same time, he still fought, he still showed up, he still played, he still worked hard, he still tried to give us our best chance to win… It was just offensively he wasn’t the Ben Simmons we needed him to be at the time.”

Ben Simmons averaged an unimpressive 11.9 PPG during the playoffs this season. He also shot a dismal 34.2% from the free throw line.
Not only were Simmons’ numbers awful, but he just seemed like a guy who had no intention of being aggressive. At times, he looked like a guy who just didn’t care.
Hopefully Ben Simmons can figure out how to handle everything from a mental standpoint. If not, he might never recover from a potentially career-defining postseason performance.
