Brad Underwood And The Fighting Illini Went Absolutely Insane In The Locker Room After Their Statement Win Against Michigan

Coach Brad Underwood has the Illinois basketball team absolutely rolling as we near March Madness. The Fighting Illini were without their Player Of The Year candidate Ayo Dosunmu tonight against a Michigan team that many believed to be the hottest squad in college basketball. No problem.

The Illini didn’t just beat Michigan, they absolutely steamrolled the Wolverines in Ann Arbor, beating them 76-53.

Brad Underwood has a tradition where he comes into the locker room yelling and sending fist pumps through the air after a win. This game, the entire team took it to the next level. Check out the celly.

While Brad Underwood will celebrate with his team tonight, he has his sights set higher than beating Michigan.

“The goal is to do more than beat Michigan, the goal is to win a national championship,” Underwood said in his post game press conference.

The Illini have all the confidence in the world right now, and they have every reason to believe that they are a legitimate threat to win the National Championship this year. They have a great coach, great depth, and a super star caliber player coming back from injury soon in Ayo Dosunmu. Normally that formula leads to a successful run in March.

Illinois has not had this good of a team since 2005, when they made the National Championship game. This time, they want to win the damn thing.
