Brett Favre Doesn’t Envision Aaron Rodgers Returning To Green Bay

The Green Bay Packers organization has been extremely blessed. While most teams have to scratch and claw to find a franchise quarterback, the Packers were able to have one Hall-of-Famer pass the baton to another with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.

While Favre and Rodgers weren’t always close, they have developed a strong friendship over the years, and seem to stay in-touch a good amount. So while the rest of us speculate whether Aaron Rodgers will really never play in Green Bay again, (as has been reported) maybe Favre can shed some light on the situation a little better.

Favre recently broke his silence on whether he thinks Rodgers will really refuse to show up to play for the Packers.

“I think I know Aaron fairly well, and honestly I just don’t see him coming back and just saying, ‘All right, let’s just bury the hatchet, whatever caused the rift, and I’m just going to come back and play because I love the guys, I love the Green Bay fans’ — I assume he does — but his rift isn’t with the fans or the players,” Favre said on ESPN’s “Wilde & Tausch” radio show, per Fox News. “It’s with the front office. Will he just swallow his pride and come in? Maybe. But I don’t see that happening.”

Brett Favre thinks Rodgers would rather sit out than play for the Packers ever again.

“That’s just my gut,” Favre said. “There’s no reason for me to say that other than that’s what my gut is telling me, and I think you guys know Aaron fairly well enough to sort of feel the same way.”

Aaron Rodgers’ distaste for the Packers organization allegedly stems from the front office’s moves over the past few years. If Rodgers does take his talents elsewhere, he will be a highly coveted man.
