Brewers Tried To Put Reliever Angel Perdomo In The Game Only To Realize He Wasn’t On The Lineup Card

I gotta say, I have never seen anything like this before. In the ninth inning the Brewers were beating the Cubs 6-1. Time to put in a reliever who doesn’t see much work, right? Sure.

Enter Angel Perdomo, who ran out to the mound to attempt to close the door on the Cubs. There was only one problem…Perdomo was not on the Brewers’ roster on their lineup card. Umpires had to break the news to Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell that he just put in a pitcher who wasn’t on his team.

Turns out, this isn’t the first time a pitcher has been deemed ineligible because his team forgot to put him on the lineup sheet.

Hopefully for Angel Perdomo’s case, the team can figure out how to get him good to go for the remainder of the series against the Cubs.

Luckily for them, it didn’t really matter. They ended up beating the Cubs 6-3, and will look to get Angel Perdomo in the game on another date.
