Chicago Bears Officially Settle On Andy Dalton And Fans Are Done

After weeks of Chicago Bears fans getting their hopes up that the team might make a splash for Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson, it became more and more likely that they were going to settle for Andy Dalton over the past few days.

Now, Adam Schefter has made it official that the Bears will, in fact, be signing Andy Dalton to a contract.

Adam Schefter even acknowledged how upset Bears fans would be with this news in a following tweet, shouting out Barstool’s Big Cat, who grew up in Chicago.

As expected, Chicago Bears fans are completely fed up on social media.

Yup, it’s almost like Chicago Bears fans were geared up for the worst possible scenario with their quarterback search, and they got it. I mean, Andy f’ing Dalton? Are you kidding me?

The Bears still have Nick Foles on their roster, so they must legitimately view Dalton as a big upgrade from the below-average veteran they already have.

I almost feel bad for Andy Dalton. If he actually is the starting quarterback for the Bears in Week one next season, he will be booed so hard by Bears fans all season long. It’s not like it’s his fault the Bears front office is incompetent.

Nonetheless, it is truly a sad day to be a Chicago Bears fan. To go from Russell Wilson hype to Andy Dalton has to sting…real bad.
