Daryl Morey Reportedly Approached Ben Simmons To Ask If He Could Get On The Court

The drama between 76ers president Daryl Morey and Ben Simmons continues…

On Wednesday, it was reported that after Simmons told the team he was dealing with some mental health troubles, the Sixers counted by offering him resources to get help. But according to the report, Ben Simmons isn’t interested in the teams’ help.

According to another report from insider Shams Charania, Daryl Morey approached Ben Simmons recently to ask if/when he was ready to get back on the court. And Simmons re-iterated that he was still not prepared to play for the team.

Sources: 76ers president Daryl Morey approached All-Star Ben Simmons today about his return to game action, but Simmons restated that he is not yet mentally ready to play and is continuing to seek professional help. There’s no timetable on Simmons‘ return to the floor.

Shams would go on to say that Daryl Morey and team officials remain supportive with Ben Simmons when it comes to what he may be dealing with at this time.

But it certainly appears that Morey is putting a little bit of pressure on the point guard by asking is he wants to get in there any time soon.

It’ll be interesting to see if Ben Simmons ever agrees to suit up for the Sixers again.
