Deion Sanders Reacts To Reggie Bush Courting Him To USC

Deion Sanders is suddenly a hot college coaching candidate all over the country.

“Coach Prime” is in his second season at Jackson State, and has been recently linked to the Florida State job if Mike Norvell is fired after the season.

But Deion Sanders might even be looking at something bigger than FSU. Former USC star running back Reggie Bush recently declared that he believes “Prime Time” would be the right guy to get USC back to glory.

“I do believe there is a coach out there that can help restore USC to its greatness. I believe Deion Sanders can be that person,” Bush said, via 247Sports.

Shortly after Reggie Bush’s comments, Deion Sanders spoke on if he would be interested in the USC gig.

“I’m thankful that Reggie mentioned me,” Sanders said Monday, according to The Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger. “I’m thankful that he thought much of our friendship that I could be a candidate or whatever. I’m appreciative of that, but I’m locked in, man. I’m locked in. I’m locked in.

“I’m right where I want to be. I’m elated I’m coaching my sons. I’m loving this culture. I want to win, wish we would have won (this past Saturday at Louisiana-Monroe), but I’m locked in.”

It’s hard to imagine that USC would hire Deion Sanders after just two seasons at a small school like Jackson State.

But perhaps the school will buy into the fact that a big name like Deion could be necessary to add some flare to a currently boring football program.

It’s unlikely that Deion Sanders is on USC’s radar, but it’s starting to look like we’re going to be seeing “Coach Prime” start to climb the coaching ladder – with him getting linked to more and more big name schools recently.
