Devin Booker Shrugs Off Richard Jefferson’s Claim That He’s Setting A Bad Precedent By Rewarding “Suns In Four” Guy

After a Suns fan acted in self-defense and beat up a Nuggets fan while yelling “Suns in four” last week, Phoenix star Devin Booker wanted to find his information. Sure enough, it didn’t take too long before Booker was set up with Nick “Suns in four” McKellar, a die-hard Suns fan living in Colorado.

While most fans were loving the newfound relationship of McKellar and Devin Booker, ESPN analyst Richard Jefferson wasn’t so sure about the whole thing.

“I feel like this might set a bad precedent,” Jefferson commented on Instagram.

Devin Booker didn’t really care to much about what Richard Jefferson had to say.

As previously mentioned, Devin Booker’s search for the “Suns in four” fan didn’t last too long.

Per ESPN:

“Booker, the Phoenix Suns’ All-Star guard, tweeted Monday that he wanted to know the identity of the Suns fan who was recorded punching a Denver Nuggets fan several times in the closing minutes of the Suns’ Game 3 win in Denver on Friday — and then declaring “Suns in 4!” as the Denver supporter and his friend retreated.

It didn’t take long for Booker’s representatives at CAA to find Nick McKellar, a lifelong Suns fan who now lives in Denver. Booker and the Suns are going to send McKellar a signed Booker jersey and provide him tickets to a conference finals game, both Booker’s reps at CAA and McKellar told ESPN.”

The Suns currently await the winner of the Clippers Jazz series for the Western Conference Semifinals. When Nick “Suns in four” McKellar makes his appearance, I think Phoenix is going to give him quite the welcome.
