Devin Booker Rumored To Be Seeking A Trade To The Knicks

Devin Booker appears to finally be on a winning team with the Phoenix Suns. Booker has been one of the most electric players in the NBA for the past couple of seasons, but his talents have been wasted on a Suns team that hasn’t bee able to properly build around him. Until now.

With Chris Pauls’ arrival, the Suns have gone from a bottom-dweller, to a contender. Devin Booker and the Suns are currently 24-11, and in second place in the Western Conference heading into the All-Star break. So why would Booker want out?

Well, according to a new report, Booker is intrigued by the New York Knicks.

It all started when NBA insider Brian Windhorst claimed that the Knicks were receiving interest from superstar players amid their resurgence.

“I say within the next 12 months a star, slash, superstar player demands a trade to New York. And I don’t know who it’s going to be. I have some guesses. I’m not going to say right here. I’ll let you guys start thinking about that,” Windhorst said.

ESPN’s Jay Williams then claimed that the name Windhorst was talking about is Devin Booker.

“The name that Windy was talking about is Devin Booker. He’s talking about Devin Booker. When we you look at the ties that exist within the Knicks organization, you have a guy like Leon Rose that is running the team. Devin Booker was one of his top clients,” Williams said.

Is it possible that the allure of playing in Madison Square Garden with a competitive Knicks team is enough to lure Devin Booker away from the Suns? We’ll see.

I think Booker has his sights on something bigger for this season, though.
