DK Metcalf was heavily criticized on Sunday night for a brutal late-game mistake.

When the Seahawks were driving down the field to attempt a game-tying field goal in the final minute, Metcalf  made a big catch down the sidelines. But instead of going out of bounds to preserve the clock, he tried to gain some extra yards.

DK ended up fumbling, and was luckily bailed out when teammate Freddie Swain jumped on the ball, and got it to the line of scrimmage fast enough so the team could spike the ball just before the clock would expire.

After the play, Fox Sports’ Shannon Sharpe took to social media to add some more criticism to DK Metcalf.

DK Metcalf fired right back at Shannon Sharpe.

Shannon Sharpe got the final word in on DK Metcalf.

“Nothing to question. That was ‘DUMB ASS’ play and your pride won’t let you admit it. ‘You’ can’t question anything I’ve done. Pray your resume will be as complete as mine, PRAY. Enjoy the rest of your day,” he tweeted.

I’m gonna give this war-of-words to Shannon Sharpe. Instead of responding to all of his critics, DK should probably just admit to making a dumb mistake and move on.
