Dusty Rhodes Shows Off Unreal Range From Three In An Old School NWA Basketball Game With Lex Luger And Sting

The son of a plumber or the son of Larry Bird? Hard to say. But Dusty Rhodes showed off some unreal range in this video that’s gone viral on Twitter from an unknown basketball game featuring former NWA stars Rhodes, Sting and Lex Luger. The contest took place at the old Charlotte Coliseum where the NWA’s stars had many of their shows.

Check out that distance between Dusty Rhodes and the 3-point line after the little DHO by the facepaint-less Sting:

Ol’ Dusty may have had legit NBA 3-point range despite his famously husky build. Robert “Tractor” Traylor combined with a stretch-five. And that’s without a mention of the sweet read from Sting. He and Lex Luger both crashed the boards with reckless abandon, particularly by the standards of men wearing Zubaz pants.

Apparently Dusty also had no fear taking it to the rack in another old school basketball game of unknown origins posted by former NWA ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta:

Hard to say from a single photo but Dusty shows some of Michael Jordan’s hops and willingness to go 1-on-3 in that one too. Homeboy in the middle was not ready for that sweaty Southern beef about to be thrown his way:

Tired: Simulated sports: Wired: DFS tournaments for old school basketball games with pro wrestling Hall-of-Famers. Lock Dusty Rhodes in at Captain, stack him with Luger and Sting for the peripherals, run it back with Generic Balding White Dude on the other team. That’s how you win in GPPs that I just created off of a 10 second viral Twitter video.
