Former NFL receiver Dwayne Bowe tried to compare his situation in 2015 to Odell Beckham Jr's and promptlygot torn apart by social media users

When you look back on the mediocre career of Dwayne Bowe, you probably picture him in a Chiefs uniform.

But at the end of his road in 2015, Bowe joined the Cleveland Browns for one completely forgettable season. He appeared in just seven games – catching a whopping five passes for 53 yards.

With the trade deadline approaching this week, Odell Beckham Jr’s dad took to social media to share a video of all the times that Baker Mayfield chose not to pass to his son even when he was open. Figuring that the situation was the same he had with Cleveland (it’s not even close), Dwayne Bowe jumped into the comments section.

Shortly after his comment on the Odell Beckham Jr. post, Dwayne Bowe was trolled all over Twitter.

Obviously there are many reasons why Dwayne Bowe not getting looks is completely different than the Odell Beckham Jr. debacle.Bowe was already 31 by the time he arrived in Cleveland, clearly lost a step, and wasn’t paid top dollar.

But I think the biggest difference is that OBJ would have had a lot of suitors if the Browns chose to move off of him at the Trade Deadline today.

After the Dwayne Bowe experiment didn’t work out for the Browns, no other team decided to take a chance on the veteran.
