On Thursday night, the sports world was actually tuned in to a baseball game for a change as the Yankees took on the White Sox in the Field of Dreams Game.

Sure, some people were unreasonably critical with how corny (no pun intended) the Field of Dreams Game is, but most people are in agreement that the game has exceeded expectations.

The MLB has been scrutinized for losing the younger generation, not appealing to their fans, and implementing some questionable rule changes. But you gotta give credit where it’s due.

The Fields of Dreams Game is absolutely awesome, and should serve the league with a yearly tradition that fans can look forward to.
