Lasorda, 93, was in attendance for the Dodgers series clinching Game 6 of the World Series. He was reportedly admitted to the hospital about a week ago, and remains in intensive care. According to the team, Lasorda is “resting comfortably”. It is unclear what caused the hospital trip.
After his managing days, Lasorda stuck around. He was a fixture at Dodgers games, and often developed relationships with the current players and team staff. I don’t think there is anybody that better represents the Los Angeles Dodgers than Tommy Lasorda.
Get well soon.
