Fox Sports Considering Making Skip Bayless Their Very Own ‘Judge Judy’ For New Show

For whatever reason, Fox Sports looks at Skip Bayless and sees an absolute rockstar to build a network around. While most people find Bayless annoying as hell, Fox Sports made sure to lock up the old talking head to a MASSIVE new four-year extension.

After inking Skip Bayless to the crazy deal, Fox is now trying to find ways to utilize their prized possession. One of their ideas includes creating a show where Skip Bayless rules in a courtroom-type setting.

Per Front Office Sports:

Fox Sports has had discussions internally about creating a faux courtroom show starring the 69-year-old Bayless, sources tell Front Office Sports.

Nothing has been finalized. The Judge Skip concept is one of several solo ideas on the drawing board for the controversial co-host of FS1’s “Skip & Shannon: Undisputed” morning debate show. If approved, it would air on weekday afternoons, said sources.

The embryonic “embrace debate” show would probably not include Bayless’ “Undisputed” co-stars Shannon Sharpe or Jenny Taft, said a source.

While this show would be obnoxious, it would probably also knock it out of the park (at least at the beginning) when it comes to views. The reason why Skip Bayless is so coveted in the sports media world has nothing to do with his knowledge of the games he covers, but with the polarizing figure he is.

Love him or hate him (and most hate him), Skip Bayless has found a way to make a whole bunch of money on people wanting to hear what ridiculousness comes out of his mouth next.

As he nears 70-years-old, it appears as though Skip Bayless is only getting started.
