On Sunday, goalie Henrik Lundqvist gave an update on his Twitter that he will require a few more months of rest prior to possible return to the NHL.

Henrik Lundqvist signed a one-year contract worth $1.5M this off-season after his 15-year career with the New York Rangers. Lundqvist made the decision to postpone his Capitals debut back in December citing a heart condition.

With just a few months left this season, it looks very unlikely that Lundqvist, who turned 39 in March, will be suiting up for any NHL games this season. It remains to be seen if this will be the end of his career of if he will continue to play in to his 40s next season.
