High School Basketball Player Natalia Chavez Nails Half-Court Buzzer-Beater to Win State Championship

This is what dreams are made of. The New Mexico State Championship was a fantastic game, pitting Hobbs versus Volcano Vista. With the game tied in overtime, with another overtime frame looking more like it was going to happen, Chavez used the final 3.5 seconds to get to half-court and toss up a hero shot.

Natalia Chavez played the role of the hero and nailed it.

Following the miraculous buzzer beater, Chavez explained that she sometimes tried those shots in practice, but she never thought that she would be able to use it in game.
