Former ESPN personality Jemele Hill has built a reputation for saying exactly what’s on her mind. Once again she’s trending for those exact reasons. Jemele Hill says West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin is a white supremacist. Senator Joe Manchin recently announced his opposition to the Democrats’ “sweeping election reform bill.” Hill was not a fan of this move, and took to Twitter to call him out.

The Senator shared his reasoning behind the move:

“Congressional action on federal voting rights legislation must be the result of both Democrats and Republicans coming together to find a pathway forward or we risk further dividing and destroying the republic we swore to protect and defend as elected officials,” Manchin wrote. Adding it’s “more than 800-page bill has garnered zero Republican support.”

Politics and sports aren’t necessarily great bedfellows, which is exactly why Jemele is no longer employed by the Mothership.
