Joe Buck Admits To Drinking With Troy Aikman In The Booth To Calm The Nerves

Joe Buck has completely taken over as the announcer of this era who just seems to be covering everything. Whether it be the World Series or the NFL, Buck is on the call. While you would think Joe Buck was always comfortable in any booth, it wasn’t always that way.

In fact, Joe Buck likes to have a cocktail while calling a game to help him chill out a bit sometimes. Buck went on “The Colin Cowherd Podcast”, which is part of the FS1 host’s new Volume Network. Here’s what he had to say about having a drink from time to time.

Joe Buck goes on to say that his drink of choice with Troy Aikman is tequila.

I found this Joe Buck reveal to be somewhat interesting. I’ve always wondered if broadcasters were allowed to, or have decided to, have a few while they’re calling a game. Look, it’s not like Joe Buck is up in the booth getting smashed like Harry Doyle in “Major League”, but I think it’s kind of fun that he feels comfortable enough in the booth to kick back and enjoy himself sometimes during a call.

After all, this is sports. If it takes Joe Buck sippin’ on a drink to remind himself not to take the game too seriously, then I’m all for it.
