Joe Buck Could Be Next Full-Time “Jeopardy!” Host

Joe Buck will get his turn to guest host “Jeopardy!” which could put him in contention to be the next full-time host.

The New York post broke the news that Joe Buck would be one of the next guest hosts of the show as it looks for their heir to the “Jeopardy!” hosting throne.

Buck, who is 51, has been the voice of the World Series on Fox since 1996 and has called NFL games since 2002.

NFL Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been making the most of his stint as “Jeopardy!” host as he even used his influence to help out small businesses who have suffered through the pandemic.

The “Jeopardy!” show has been searching for a replacement since the death of Alex Trebek at the end of 2020. The hosting tryouts will continue well in to the summer as the show has reportedly already put Anderson Cooper, Bill Whitaker, Mayim Bialik, Savannah Guthrie, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta on the schedule. Buck’s episodes will air mid-summer.

Joe Buck does not have the spot free resume in the booth as some may want with his comments on a hot mic at a San Francisco 49ers game in the fall of 2020, or his admittance to drinking in the booth with co-host Troy Aikman.

Buck definitely has the personality and voice for the job. He is obviously good in front of the camera and can go off-script when necessary. It will be interesting to see what sort of chemistry he brings to the position and if he can land the job full-time.
