Will the seventh time be the charm for Josh Gordon? Well, apparently the embattled receiver is getting yet another chance to prove he can pass a drug test.
Supposedly Pete Carrol and the Seahawks brass saw enough in Gordon, both on and off the field, to warrant giving the guy a one-year deal. Gordon is still technically suspended from the NFL and will need to be reinstated before he can go to work for the Hawks.
The last we saw of Josh Gordon was when he was suspended indefinitely last December for failing a drug test, showing that he violated the leagues rules involving performance-enhancing drugs. Prior to that suspension, Gordon struggled with issues involving drugs and alcohol.
Gordon made headlines earlier this week when his Patriots Super Bowl ring sold for $138,000 at auction.

Josh Gordon Saga Continues
The last failed drug test for Gordon marked his SIXTH suspension since 2013. Look, I’m not going to rail on the guy. He seems like a genuinely good dude, and when he was right, he was one of the best receivers I have ever seen in my life. With that being said, how many guys can say they failed five drug tests and still get to continue their work.
Throughout Josh Gordon’s career, he has been a guy who seems to be apologizing more than actually playing. I think I speak for most NFL fans when I say that I just want to see this guy play a full season. Who knows if he’ll be the same guy we saw take over games seven years ago, but the NFL is a better league when we have stories like the Josh Gordon saga.
If history repeats itself, the odds may be against Josh Gordon. But I say screw it, maybe this is the time Gordon gets his shit together and shows the world the kind of impact player he can be. The Josh Gordon story may just never end, and I am HERE for it.
