Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs wasn't afraid to say how much better he felt the team was ran without Jon Gruden lurking the sidelines

While some Raiders were undoubtedly feeling mixed emotions about Jon Gruden turning in his resignation over the disturbing emails leak. But running back Josh Jacobs was happy to see him go.

During the team’s win against the Broncos last week, Jacobs felt relieved without Gruden making a whole show on the sidelines.

“Man, the sideline … it was like (there was no) anxiety,” Jacobs said, via the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “It was weird. It was like everybody was calm. You didn’t have somebody cussing at you, or going crazy at the refs. None of that.”

Josh Jacobs was clearly not a fan of the atmosphere of players getting chewed out every time they made a mistake.

“It was like, ‘OK, not going to harp on it, next play.’ The guys all kind of motivated each other,” Jacobs explained. “You saw a lot of defensive guys standing up and offensive guys jumping off the bench when the defense made plays. I was like, that’s the right type of energy that we needed. I loved it.”

Josh Jacobs isn’t afraid to say how much more comfortable he feels without Gruden lurking.
