Chicago Bears Head Coach Matt Nagy Can’t Contain Excitement When Talking About Justin Fields’ Performance In Minicamp

The Chicago Bears saved their entire fan base from showing up to Soldier Field with pitchforks next season when they traded up in the NFL Draft to select quarterback Justin Fields.

While head coach Matt Nagy still maintains that Andy Dalton will be the starting quarterback (for now), all eyes have been on Justin Fields during minicamp.

So far, the Ohio State product has showed up exactly as advertised to training camp.

When talking about Justin Fields after practice on Wednesday, Matt Nagy absolutely raved about the young QB.

“He just has that mentality of rip your heart out,” Nagy said.

Matt Nagy would elaborate on how Justin Fields approaches the game.

“Everything that we thought he was going to be when he got here with learning and being obsessed with everything that we teach him and then being able to be himself out on the field — he’s really doing things in a really good way,” Nagy concluded to ESPN.

While Justin Fields continues to turn heads, Andy Dalton was said to have had some issues on Wednesday.

Obviously, minicamp isn’t the biggest deal with a veteran like Andy Dalton. But we already know what he is as a quarterback.

If Justin Fields continues to do all the rights things, we’ll be seeing him as Chicago’s QB1 sooner rather than later.
