Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields spoke on how he felt the officiating was lopsided during the MNF loss to the Steelers

Justin Fields shined during the MNF game against the Steelers. But unfortunately for him and the Bears, the team still walked away as the losers.

A big part of the storyline was centered around referee Tony Corrente’s calls throughout the game.

Not only was there a controversial taunting call late in the fourth quarter. But there were also a couple times where it appeared that a roughing the passer penalty could have been called on the Steelers following some late hits.

Justin Fields spoke on how he was a little annoyed that he wasn’t getting those calls.

“Big Ben just got that call, so I don’t know why you can’t give me that call,” Fields told reporters on Monday night.

Justin Fields would go on to show understanding that younger quarterbacks just aren’t going to get the same respect as the vets.

“Joe Burrow talked about it a few weeks ago,” Fields said, via Bears Wire. “The young guys don’t get those calls, and the older guys do, and you have to face that.”

In the losing effort, Justin Fields accounted for over 300 total yards, including a stellar go-ahead drive in the fourth quarter.

Despite the tough loss, Chicago should feel confident in their quarterback situation for the first time in a while.
