Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s Son Given Weak Sentence After Stabbing His Neighbor During A Trash Can Dispute

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s son, Adam, is in some trouble.

According to a report, Adam has been sentenced to prison following an altercation with a neighbor. Adam Abdul-Jabbar reportedly used a hunting knife to repeatedly stab one of his California neighbors following a dispute over trash cans.

“Adam — who had been accused of slamming a blade through the head of a man after the two had quarreled over trash cans in 2020 — entered guilty pleas to four total charges, including two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, at a hearing earlier this week,” wrote TMZ Sports.

Adam Abdul-Jabbar was sentenced to just six months in jail after injuries to the neighbor were found.

“This slap on the wrist is an absolute miscarriage of justice,” Orange County D.A. Todd Spitzer told TMZ Sports. “The Orange County District Attorney’s Office vehemently objected … because we believe the complete disregard for human life over a dispute over trashcans is so egregious it warranted prison time.”

Kareem’s son will begin his jail sentence in January. But it certainly feels like the Abdul-Jabbar family got let off easy here.
