Las Vegas Raiders Catching Heat For Their Tweet About The Derek Chauvin Verdict

After it was announced that Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of all three counts in the murder of George Floyd, athletes and teams swarmed to social media to share their thoughts.

While most tweets shared the views of many Americans, the Las Vegas Raiders are catching a bunch of flak for their reaction.

“I can breathe,” the Raiders social media team tweeted out after the verdict.

George Floyd was famously suffocated by Chauvin, and kept trying to tell the officer, “I can’t breathe” while he had a knee on his neck.

Many people are lashing out at the Raiders over their tone-deaf tweet.

It’s kind of crazy to me that the Raiders social media tweet has kept this up for over an hour now without deleting it, despite the heavy backlash. You’d think they have to at some point, right? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
