A spoof to the tune of an SNL skit was set to the sh-tshow introductory press conference for Lincoln Riley at USC and it's absolutely magnificent

Lincoln Riley was adamant all year that he was not going to leave Oklahoma for a more prominent job in college football.

But after OU proceeded to have a mediocre season, the thought of taking the head job at USC became too much for Riley to pass up on.

On Sunday night, the sports world was on fire after it was announced that Riley would be the next head coach of the Trojans.

When Lincoln Riley announced his decision, he effectively left Oklahoma between a rock and a hard place with recruits and an uncertain future. But to add insult to injury, Riley kept it short when telling his team he was bouncing out of there.

According to Carey Murdock of, Riley only spent ‘a couple of minutes’ with his team after announcing he was leaving for USC.

Lincoln Riley released a statement on joining the Trojans after many successful years with the Sooners.

“I am truly excited to come to USC and join the Trojan Family as its new head football coach,” Riley said in a statement. “USC has an unparalleled football tradition with tremendous resources and facilities, and the administration has made a deep commitment to winning. I look forward to honoring that successful tradition and building on it. The pieces are in place for us to build the program back to where it should be and the fans expect it to be. We will work hard to develop a physical football team that is dominant on both lines of scrimmage, and has a dynamic balanced offense and a stout aggressive defense.

“I want to thank the administration, coaches and players at Oklahoma for five incredible years as their head coach. We accomplished some great things there and I will always cherish my time as a Sooner.”

With the Lincoln Riley move, USC just became a hell of a lot more interesting – which, in turn, makes the entire sport of college football have more buzz.

Sometimes a situation is too perfect to pass up on…
