Mavericks owner Mark Cuban helped Delonte West into rehab in September after photos of him living and begging on the streets when viral. Since then, Cuban shared a photo of West horseback riding in rehab. Delonte West looked healthy compared to the images of him that surfaced back in September. However, Mark Cuban said he still had a long way to go. Today, Cuban took to Twitter to share some recent pics of West in rehab.

“It’s an uphill battle, but he’s climbing”, Said Cuban of Delonte West. With the blessing of West’s family, Cuban helped get Delonte into a treatment program and things have been going well ever since. The pictures show him playing frisbee golf and kayaking as a recreational part of his treatment.
Because we all want something to feel great about today, here is your Delonte West update. It's still an uphill battle, but he is climbing ! pic.twitter.com/qLDVJDrSOQ

Although he does still have a mountain to climb, it is nice to see Delonte West looking cleaner and smiling. West has battled with a bi-polar disorder but has disputed his diagnosis. Mental illness is something that society isn’t nearly educated enough on and therefore doesn’t always take seriously. If you don’t take it from me, take it from Mark Cuban. It’s a beast. It’s something that takes time to gain an understanding of and adequately treat.
Mark Cuban taking the initiative to help out Delonte West has been a blessing to both parties. Cuban vowed to help out in any way he could and he has definitely lived up to his word. Not only that, but he has been there to support Delonte along the way. As Cuban said, full recovery is an uphill climb but it is nice to see the progress that Delonte West has made so far.
