Matt LaFleur Already lobbying With Aaron Rodgers To Stay With Green Bay

All season long, we’ve heard the speculation centered around Aaron Rodgers leaving the Green Bay Packers after the season. So pretty much immediately after the upset loss to the Niners this past weekend, Rodgers and coach Matt LaFleur were flooded with questions about the MVP’s future.

Right away, Rodgers left the door open to his departure when he declared that he wasn’t interested in being a part of a “rebuild” at this stage of his career.

But when speaking on Aaron Rodgers potentially leaving Green Bay, Matt LaFleur said that there isn’t currently a plan for the Packers to rebuild.

“I just want to do everything in my power to get him back here and make sure he’s comfortable with the direction of our football team,” said LaFleur.

Can Matt LaFleur Convince Aaron Rodgers To Stay?

Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers have accomplished a great deal of success during their short time together. But so far, they haven’t been able to go on the Super Bowl run that they’ve expected.

Rodgers is fully expected to be named a back-to-back winner of the MVP. And the team was the favorite to come of of the NFC this year before their stunning loss to the Niners. However, Rodgers reference to a potential rebuild has to do with the Packers’ non-ideal salary cap situation.

For now, Aaron Rodgers is still a Packer. But it looks like it’s going to be another offseason filled with Matt LaFleur and Packers management trying to convince the star quarterback to stick around for at least one more year.
