Matt Nagy’s Son Was Getting Heckled With ‘Fire Nagy’ Chants at His Football Game

Matt Nagy’s son Braydon is hearing the Fire Nagy Chants.

The Fire Matt Nagy movement has gained plenty of momentum over the last few weeks, especially after the Chicago Bears have lost their fifth straight game. To make matters worse, Sunday’s loss to the Ravens was a bad one. Bears fans could be heard chanting ‘Fire Nagy.’

The same thing happened at the Chicago Bulls game too.

Nagy’s son Brayden also has heard the chants.

Brayden plays plays high school football in the North Chicago Suburb of Lake Forest. During Saturday’s blowout loss to Cary-Grove, the student section belted out a “Fire Nagy” chant.

Cary-Grove principal Dr. Neil Lesinski released a statement, having to apologize for his school’s mean spirited Fire Nagy Chants.

“At the recent Cary-Grove vs. Lake Forest 6A high school football game played on Saturday, November 20, members of the Cary-Grove student body began a chant targeting the parent of one of the Lake Forest team members and family,” the school said in a press release. “On behalf of Cary-Grove High School, I want to assure our community that the chant was not acceptable nor appropriate and was immediately addressed by the administration at the game. We also felt it was important to meet with our student superfans that lead our chants and cheers to talk about what happened and give them an opportunity to reflect and correct their actions.”

Nagy was reportedly set to be fired after the Thanksgiving game, but he’s denying that’s the case.

Sports fans can go too far sometimes.
