Miami Making A Big Run At Mario Cristobal With The PAC-12 Championship Game Looming

Would Oregon Ducks head coach Mario Cristobal leave for the Miami Hurricanes job?

With he coaching carousel as crazy as it’s ever been in college football, nothing would surprise fans at this point. And the latest report is that Miami is making a push for Cristobal – who is scheduled to play Utah in the PAC 12 Championship game on Friday night.

Following the news, it’s also being reported that Oregon is fully prepared to open up their checkbook to raise Cristobal’s salary in order to keep him in Eugene.

Mario Cristobal has done a great job of bringing the Oregon program back to the prominence they had under Chip Kelly. And while the entire college football world will speculate on his future, he’ll likely remain laser-focus on the task at hand.

Last time Utah and Oregon faced off (two weeks ago), the Utes pummeled the Ducks at home. And Utah will be a slight favorite to win again on Friday night.

With a trip to the Rose Bowl on the line, it’ll be interesting to see if Mario Cristobal can fend off the Miami distraction to have his players focused for their biggest game of the season.
