Jets Quarterback Mike White’s Tweet About Peyton Manning Resurfaces Following The Win Over The Bengals

All the jokes were out about Jets backup quarterback Mike White when it was announced that he was being summoned from the bench to replace the injured Zach Wilson on Sunday.

However, not only did White prove to everyone that he was, in fact, a real person. But he put together one hell of a performance – beating the surging Bengals 34-31 in the upset of the weekend.

Mike White was 37-45 for 405 yards and three touchdowns, matching Joe Burrow throughout the afternoon. But after the game, the internet did it’s thing, and went through White’s social media accounts to see if they could dig up some dirt.

There wasn’t too much, but an old tweet claiming he was going to be better than Peyton Manning started to make the rounds.

Mike White’s tweet was from when he was a freshman in college, so maybe we can give the dude a break.

Despite his limited weapons, White put on the best performance by a Jets quarterback all season long on Sunday. And if Wilson remains out for an extended period of time, “Gang Green” nation will hope White channels his 2013 energy.
