Missouri Prosecutors Review Britt Reid Crash From February

Missouri prosecutors are reviewing the Britt Reid crash that left a 5-year-old seriously injured in February before Super Bowl LV. The former Kansas City Chiefs coach, Britt Reid, son of Andy Reid, caused a three-car collision that left 5-year-old Ariel Young with a serious brain injury.

Reid told officers on the scene that he had been drinking and was on a prescription for Adderall. It looks like Reid could be facing serious charges. He has also had legal issues in the past including flashing a gun at a motorist in 2007. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of a controlled substance in 2008. Having a spotty record like this can’t set up well for the former NFL coach.

He was replaced last week by former Philadelphia Eagles coach, Ken Flajole.

“Ariel remains in the hospital, she is getting a little better each day but she still has a long road to recovery. Britt Reid is out everyday living his normal life while she cannot, please don’t let her story be forgotten. Court will take a long time and we don’t know what will be the outcome of it all. So please keep sharing her story and praying for her and the family. Thank you,” the update from March 27 read.
