MMA Fighter KO’s Opponent In Face-Off

There are many reasons why Dana White and the UFC are making sure fighters don’t touch each other in the pre-fight face-off, and this is exactly why.

As much as two fighters get intense at the face-off, sometimes we see some pushing, some shoving, maybe a couple off the mark punches or kicks, but usually it’s just all smoke. This was not smoke. This was a full on KO of someone at the face-off.

The one fighter was moving in to clearly push his way in the opponents face, and then the other fighter just up-knees him in the face. It is an absolutely perfect shot. The opponent goes down and then wakes up a couple seconds later then swings at a random guy trying to help him!

Absolute chaos. Reports indicate that the original fight did not go on as scheduled although the fighter was ready, but the doctors would not allow it. Well duh, the dude got absolutely rocked.

It seems difficult to believe that the fighter who threw the knee will get another shot with the promoter after this stunt. Pulling something like that is definitely going to put you on a couple of no-fly lists for fighting promotions.

The UFC has already been putting measures in place to make sure nothing happens like this as it could cost the promotion a hefty amount.
