MMA Star Jon Jones Disfigures Steve-O’s Ear And It Puts Mike Tyson To Shame

Jackass star Steve-O (46) has done some pretty eye-popping stunts throughout the course of his career, but this one involving MMA star Jon Jones might very well be the most cringe-worthy of them all.

Steve-O has been a headline in the world of MMA quite a bit lately as he has been spending time visiting the famed Jackson-Wink MMA Academy in Albuquerque. Videos of Steve-O grappling with UFC stars Jon Jones and Holly Holm continue to circulate the Twitterverse.

At this point, you must be wondering how a little friendly tumble on the mats led to Jon Jones smashing Steve-O’s ear in with a hammer. Although Jones is notorious for having anger management issues, Steve-O signed himself up for this one (fine, maybe that part really isn’t that surprising coming from a man who once stapled his scrotum to his legs). After getting worked on the mats by both Jon and Holly, Steve-O was curious about what it felt like to have cauliflower ear. Jones was more than happy to oblige. Not only did Jones get to smash Steve-O’s ear with a hammer, but he also got his autograph, in Steve-O’s own blood! If you are thinking that’s pretty morbid, you’re not wrong, but it is also pretty badass. Having said that, Steve-O wasn’t going to just let Jones smash his ear in without a little quid pro quo.

You may be thinking that letting a pretty well-trained skater ollie over you isn’t nearly as dangerous as getting your ear smashed with a hammer, and you’re right, but it was still a pretty big risk for Jones. As a matter of fact, Steve-O admitted that on the first attempt he nearly cracked Jones’ ribs! Steve-O was quoted telling TMZ Sports, “a wave of panic swept over me for the possibility that I might be responsible for the career-ending injury of the greatest MMA fighter of all time.” Fortunately, both Steve-O and Jones came out alright.

I guess this is the kind of entertainment you get when you cross the world’s best MMA fighter with the most ludicrous stunt man to date. In a time where it feels like there isn’t a whole lot of good going on, maybe this was exactly the kind of entertainment you needed.  Even if all it did for you was make you cringe, the good news is that Steve-O joined Jones to help his efforts with the C.A.R.E. project … raising money and support for communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in New Mexico.
