Suns Head Coach Monty Williams Got Emotional After Visiting The Bucks Locker Room Following Finals Loss

The Milwaukee Bucks and their humble superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo were pretty much universally liked and respected by NBA fans as they won the NBA championship on Tuesday night. But with that being said, it would’ve been pretty cool to see Suns head coach Monty Williams win his first ring, as well.

Williams, true to form, was incredibly classy after losing on Tuesday night. And made sure to go into the Milwaukee Bucks locker room to congratulate the champs right after the game.

During his post game press conference, Monty Williams was clearly dejected.

“I think it’s going to take me a minute. I just don’t take it for granted,” he said. “It’s hard to get here, and I wanted it so bad, you know? It’s hard to process right now.”

When Monty Williams’ Suns went up 2-0 over the Bucks in the first NBA Finals appearance since the 1992-93 season, he certainly didn’t expect this outcome.

The Bucks would obviously go on to win four straight games, sending the Suns back home thinking about where, and how, it all went awry.

Who knows when (or if) Monty Williams will be back in the NBA Finals. But win or lose, you know his amazing character will stand tall.
