Moroccan Olympic Boxer Gets DQ’d for Attempting to Bite Opponent’s Ear

Moroccan Boxer Youness Baalla took a page straight out of Mike Tyson’s playbook. Youness Baalla was getting beat when he decided to lean in toward New Zealand’s David Nyika’s right ear with his mouth open ready to take a bite out of his ear.

Definitely had vibes of Tyson’s infamous 1997 bite that ripped off a chunk of Evander Holyfield’s lobe.

“Oooh, hello — now then,” a shocked-sounding commentator on Eurosport said.

“He almost lost the plot completely there. That could have been an act of absolute madness,” the commentator said as the ref simply resumed the fight.

He was disqualified after the fight for his “intolerable action” after Olympic officials ruled he “very clearly intended to bite the ear/face of his opponent,” according t o New Zealand’s Stuff.

Once you’re known as a biter in the ring, you’re boxing career will never be the same.

No one wants to fight a biter.
